All the flavor with very small portions
Very small portions. We had the 7 course tasting menu and each course was so tiny. Beautifully plated, very flavorful, extremely innovative but I want more. My boyfriend left hungry. The food was AMAZING but I was shocked at the portion sizes.

Gem of a Restaurant
Mehtaphor is the place I always recommend to friends above all others. It is the more spacious Tribeca sister to Graffiti, which is a tiny, excellent restaurant in the East Village. The restaurant combines flavors from various cultures, but tends to come across as a New American-Indian mix. The dishes I recommend are the puff pastry pizza (the mushroom one) and the burger, but I have not been disappointed with any dish. The souffle and sundae are great desserts. The prosecco lychee martini is a signature of the place, and it is reasonably priced. All told, the food is great, and staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, and the prices are low.

We enjoyed Grafitti and so we wanted to try Mehtaphor - it was terrific! Interesting combinations of ingredients - it always is a tasty and interesting meal.
