Mee no eat their food anymore
The problem with take-out or delivery is you do not know what you have until you're home and can't, as a practical matter, return the food. Tonight I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and it was a disaster. The sauce was like bland soup, watery and tasteless. On top of that, they delivered white rice when I ordered brown. I threw most of it out and decided to vent my anger in this review and by not ordering from there again.

New Management
I've been coming here for years. Tonight it appears to be under new management as none of the familiar friendly faces are here. I got my order home within a few minutes and noticed that the rice was cold. Not lukewarm, just cold. I figured the meat portion would be so hot that it would warm up the rice - but no, meat was undercooked and not hot. This meal was a total waste of money. I am grateful Evegreen is just across the street and charges the same prices. Last time I go to Mee.

yum....
i've been getting takeout from here for ages, and they never disappoint. try their noodle soups with fish balls/shrimp/pork. it's a teeny bit salty but wonderfully soothing on a cold day. i adore their beef chow fun. it's the best in the city (apart from chinatown) imho.

Cheapest dinner you can find
I've been going here for 15 yrs. Mostly I order the same thing: singapore noodles w/just chicken (otherwise they put in chinese roast pork and shrimp, too). Lunch or dinner, it's about the cheapest full meal in midtown on the east side. The tea is good too, if u decide to sit down. Avoid rush hour: noon to 2 p.m. it's hectic. Later is better.

fast, cheap and the noodles soup satisfies your craving. Who cares about the rudeness, they barely speak English.

dumpling & scallion pancake junkie
I live on the same block as Mee, and I feel like the luckiest New Yorker on earth. This place makes the best vegetable dumplings and scallion pancakes I have had since 1998, when my favorite Chinese place downtown closed to make way for a Dunkin Donuts. Inside, Mee has an old school, run-down look...but the hustle and bustle of the service and the steamy, delicious (and cheap!) food makes this place feel like a welcoming extension of my home. I love Mee! You have to check it out!
