I live in the neighborhood and go here all the time. The food is delicious but be prepared for horrible service. The waiters are not attentive at all, they are always joking around behind the bar. They never refill your water glass, they never bring plates with the bread, and it takes forever to get the check. It is the best pasta in the neighborhood I just wish the service was better.

Always have great food, great service. Pasta is super fresh, pizzas are delicious, thin crust, yet substantial well done! Service is very good. This is one of the best on the upper east side.

I went there today for lunch and the food was disappointing. The pizza looked like it was stuck in the microwave from the freezer. The grilled tomatoes in my salad were cold and my goat chesee was mozzarella cheese. I am very upset because this resturaunt used to be so good. Now I don't know what it is and I am really turned off.

My friends met my wife and I at this old timer. I ate here often when it first opened as I lived across the street in that land of no restaurants. I was much younger, more tolerant, and not as experienced in the culinary world. I must say I was embarrassed that I actually recommended it. We arrived to a rude host, told to stay at the bar and will not be seated until the entire party was there. There were plenty of tables, and 3 of the 4 where there. I asked what if we were only 3, you would be giving us the same table and we were ready to order drinks and appetizers. His resonse was "but you are 4 and you have to wait for your entire party". It was like a Seinfeld episode. So we did as we were told and went to the bar. The bartender took our drink order, and then the takeout phone rang. She was on the phone for more than 10 minutes and the idea of multi-tasking or asking them to hold didn't cross her mind. So we waited at the bar, with a heater blasting on us for 10 minutes. We were then greeted by our 4th and sat at one of the many tables. I must say the server was so nice! Food was very average at best and I remember clearly why I never liked this place from the attitude to the food.

I stopped here with a colleague for a late business lunch and we were both very impressed. The staff was excellent and the food was very good as well. Prices were great for NYC prices, especially considering the good size portions. I will definitely return!

Great food and ambience. Service is good but sometimes you need to be assertive if the place is busy. I love the pizza bread for the table and the pizzas taste like ones we enjoyed in Italy.
