this is my first review, but i felt that it was necessary. please think twice before ordering here -- the food is not good. i actually spit out my hot & sour soup. it was that bad -- specifically, it was sweet & slimy & lukewarm, like they had added sweet and sour sauce to it. the fried chinese dishes (which we didn't actually order, but received anyway) are soggy and mealy. and everything is tasteless. i wish there were a true go-to chinese place in carroll gardens, but this is far from it.

I've lived in the neighborhood for over 10 years and this place is great local Chinese food choice. Food is prepared fresh, the kitchen is very clean and the people are friendly (very family-fun/oriented business). Try the boneless spare ribs (get them well-done), chicken with garlic sauce (just the right amount of spicy) and Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. Egg Rolls can be a bit greasy thought tasty.

I eat here waytoo much. I have to walk by it when I go to the subway and when I come home, and I can never resist stopping there, if only to get an egg roll. The people are wonderful. Friendly and fast! Delicious food!

Ordering the food served at this restaurant was totally comfort food for me and my family. Price were moderately priced. Given its past history, it is very family oriented. It is nice to see the whole family work together to build its business and reputation. The egg rolls are unbelievably crispy, spring rolls -- Yummy!! I have finally found the best chinese take-out with the tastiest and flavorful fried rice. The fried rice is not made with artificial coloring like other chinese restaurants. They also have the best fried soup chips for the soup and best of all..their spare ribs, always getting everyone coming back for more!! The aroma from the food made inside just gets you to order more because it just smells so goood!! Definitely got me going back to order from this restaurant whenever I pass by and hUngRy! Best chinese in brooklyn....no doubt about it!!

I tried this hoping for a break from Andy's. Delivery was slow and food lacked taste. Oh well, back to Andy's. Don'r really know about atmosphere..

Most Chinese food comes luke warm at best. I was very surprised (and happy) to recieve food so hot that I actually had to wait until it cooled a bit. Portion size - great, egg roll - crisp, hot, and good (not the usual soggy one). Egg Foo Yung was a different shade (color) than I expected, but the taste was there...Worth the call, worth the price, a very quick turn around time. I'll call again
