Surprized
I have lived in the West Village area for over 20 years and used to frequent McKenna's when it was on Hudson St. Heard they moved from North side of 14th St to much nicer digs directly across street on South side of 14th St. We heard the burgers were still great so we all ordered them and the reccomendation was right on. From what I remember, there were also salads, steak sandwiches, typical pub fare. You have to go up to order your food and drinks when they get too busy and the bartenders are your basic beer slingers (female) but they do serve a strong drink quite efficiently. Also heard there is a Happy Hour from 12 to 7 PM where drinks are 2 for 1. We were there late so we missed that but we will definately be going back.
