    Better than reviews

Go for the theater menu, which is $29.95 for 3 courses. Reasonable selection, and everything was good. Shout out to our server Chris who was always on top of things.

    Disappointed!

Server not knowledgeable about the menu and kept going to ask the kitchen about stuff. Disappointed in the fact that sushi chef would not make a vegetable roll for customer who does not eat raw fish. Appearance of food on plate very simple. Overall food quality was good and tasty.

    New York's Greatest Happy Hour

If you arrive a little before 4:00 you can order a $10 lunch at the bar that includes all the popular choices. My fav: The Asian plate. The Vodka Lemonade will put in the Happy mood you came in for and you can also order from the HH menu items that range from $1.95 to $4.95-- all of them top notch snacks that go with top notoch drinks and excellent service from the nicest, funniest and sweetist barkeepers in the whole wide world., Stools are often hard to get on certain heavy traffic days so plan ahead somehow to sit rather than stand. After several visits you'll feel as if you're in CHEERS for sure. You'll have a great time ! I promise.

    Sysco, all dressed up?

Went to the NY location: Loud, very loud atmosphere with table setups like cafeteria. Called ahead for reservation but was told to come over without one. Arrived to have needed a reservation. Given a table with a light fizture jutting into the table space. First entree fried Calamari: good. Then the much built-up Lobster ravioli with a sherry dressing and garnished with extra lobster. There were 6 on the plate. They were rather bland and boring, which is sad for the nearly $30 I paid for them. I think maybe they came from Sysco restaurant supply company and they put their own dressing on them. What's most disappointing is the whole devil-may-care attitude in big chain restaurants like this, and make no mistake, this is a chain. But the price would suggest something more... which didn't end up delivering. My staff was attentive and personable, trained and or experienced well. I tipped him more than 20%, bringing my bill to roughly $60 dollars.

    Better than any steakhouse

First of all, the prices are moderate for mid town Manhattan. Lunch - Salads for under $9, salad entres for under $20 and bottles of wine available for $30 (try the Manage a Trois red blend- excellent for $30). Everyday lunch specials for under $20 including steak. Cant be beat. Very pretty restaurant with lots of wood, tall ceilings, huge windows, tables far enough apart to hear conversation, great service. And the bar specials and happy hour specials are unbeatable. Plus the bartenders will comp you once in a while. Compared to double the price at some steakhouses nearby, this is a great buy.

    Not Great

Went for the first time the weekend of May 7 (a Saturday). While the service was good, the food was adequate at best. We had the Fire Grilled Calamari, which was listed on the menu as a "small plate." This included a mere two strips of clamari, which hadly seemed worth the price. I had the cashew crusted Red Tilapia, which tasted bland and like it had been coated with bread crumbs. Cashews, or any taste of cashews was non-existent. My dining partners had non-seafood entrees, which were okay, but nothing to write home about. I've had better seafood at local diners.

    Never a disappointing seafood dinner

we go to mc/s often. wife usually has trout; i have 2 appetizers: arugula salad (best i've ever had) and a cold tuna plate...perfectly cooked and sliced. Atmosphere: upscale but not stuffy; Service: excellent. wife changed, last time there, to a pasta and salmon dish. i had my doubts about it, but it was excellent (and i'm not a fan of finfish and pasta.) Thaks MC/S for a consistently excellent dining experience.
