country for old men
Keith and Cam were there nice cute couple. Besides Craig, the nephew, this is still a typical family run business. However, it's an older crowd. Maybe younger depending on the overflow from the neighboring sports bars on the UWS.

Quiet unassuming
Stopped by for their brunch one Sunday. Mediocore and filling. We just wanted to catch the game really ... The owner and his girlfriend were there, very friendly and helpful about places to visit in the city. Not a destination spot, but typical dive pub.

Original type old man's pub
Friends from out of town stayed across the street at the hotel where Nice Matin resides. The owner and his lovely girlfriend were especially helpful to give advise about places to visit and sightsee in New York City. We all liked the fact that it is a quiet place for drinks and friendly. Perhaps next time we will try the extensive menu selections. Thank you.

cant wait to go back
Loved everything about this place. Burgers and nachos were awesome. Staff were nice and helpful. Didn't think places like this were around anymore. I loved the old pictures and the old jukebox!!

Great Pub Grub
It doesn't need to say "Gastro" to be good, solid and fresh pub food. Everything is fresh and nice sized portions and very good prices. More of the old, Irish pubs need to come back. Good service, relaxed and very good food make this place a good choice to drink, eat and hang out. The best wings on the UWS too.

Solid UWS irish pub with great service
Went here tonight for dinner, and just had to do a write up about it. It's such a fun, chill place, with great bar food and great staff. For a busy Saturday, they always had a smile on their faces and an eye on your drinks. Prices were a bit high, but it's the UWS - and I don't mind paying a little more to avoid the jerks at the fratty bars across the street!
