Oasis on Columbia
Love, love, love Mazzat! This really is an oasis on Columbia. The atmosphere is cool and serene, the service is perfect, and the food is fresh and delectable! I have dined there many times, and whenever visitors come from out of town, we hit this place. The food is divine. From the falafel, in a whole wheat wrap and NOT stuffed in a stale white flour pita, to the Babaghanouj, you just can’t go wrong with anything off the menu! If you ever happen to be on Columbia street, and are looking for a laid back, delicious dining experience, Mazzat is the place to go.

I love this place
I dont know how a previous reviewer could possibly say the food at Mazzat is sub-par. It is quite easily the best middle eastern food I have ever had. I try to eat there at least once a week. Kafta kebab - delicious. Humus - fresh and intricate. Dates and bacon - !!!! Granted, I was a little disappointed to see the prices go up, but nonetheless, I still love this place. Just go and enjoy.

don't get it
i live a block away and i really do not understand these favorable reviews. the place truly has subpar food. go for a drink while you're waiting for your table at Alma, and that's it!

Good Stuff!
Try the vegetarian platter- so tasty! The lamb was tender and the spices were perfect. What a great little neighborhood place- a really comprehensive menu, realy nice guy behind the bar.
