Mayfield

I will not ever go back to this place. The food is ok but the service stinks. I went on a Saturday afternoon to grab a burger. Although the place was packed, they only had one bartender working to serve people drinks and food at the bar. After patiently waiting for 20 minutes (!!) to order a burger to go, I was told that the kitchen was too busy to prepare a hamburger because it was to go. Huh?? Um ok. That doesn't make a single ounce of sense. Furthermore, if that was indeed the case, the bartender should had told me that straight away when I got there and spoke to him - and I wouldn't have wasted 20 minutes of my life. What a joke.

I have been to Mayfield twice and each time enjoyed my meal thoroughly. The second time I had the burger and thought it was among the best, if not THE best, I ever had. The spoon bread side and desserts are also a real treat. There is a young vibe to Mayfield but the old school music and incredibly warm and helpful staff helps to make an "oldster" (Baby Boomer) not feel out of place. I intend to make Mayfield a "go to" restaurant for many occasions .

Mayfield is the newest addition to Franklin Ave and it is great. The menu is a bit 'interesting' but what you recieve is amazing. I was overly impressed by each thing we ordered. It tastes fabulous and has a wonderful atmosphere.
