Declicious
Been here twice, the food was great and creative - I recommend the croquetas and the mango salsa quesadillas, and guacamole with smoked in-house chipotle sauce. My other guests were raving too about their food and specialty drinks. Service was great, and atmosphere was intriguing and fun.

Fine, but really a bar.
Okay drinks, though verging on the expensive, yuppy, there has to be forty things in the glass, pretentiousness. Food isn't authentic and is really mexican infused bar nibbles. Place is cool enough, but reeks a little of a hipster club scene. Good for the twenty somethings who've got money I guess.

Would not recommend this place!
I went with my husband and sister-in-law after reading great reviews in Food & Wine and Urban Daddy; however, was GREATLY disappointed. The drinks were ok but the service and food were horrible. For appetizers, we ordered the palomitas and croquetas. The palomitas was good but so basic that anyone can make this dish. The croquetas tasted like they had chipotle in them although the menu didn’t specify, unless the chef burnt is, which I wouldn’t be too surprised. These ‘appetizers’ arrived after our main courses -- 1.5 hour after we ordered them! The chorizo tacos are mediocre and the carintas tacos were actually good but I would only eat them during their $1 taco specials on Sunday. I would not recommend this place for dinner. I would only suggest it for maybe drinks and the palomitas but expect a long wait.

great spot
the pork belly was amazing, not sure what is being mentioned below. this is not a thorough review as i had only a drink and the pork belly. however, both were fantastic and i will certainly be revisiting to explore more of the menu.

Not authentic mexican but good!
The food was great, yes the place is small but all his places are small. The drinks are amazing and the atmosphere is chill. Go and have a watermelon sugar. Yum!

Go for the drinks
As expected, the drinks were interesting and delicious. I was surprised at the food, since Death & Co. and the Bourgeois Pig both sport some pretty delicious fare, but it was a disappointment. True, it was only the second day they were open, but they had almost a month of soft opening to iron it out so I'm not willing to give them a full pass. Also, they don't have cutlery and don't plan on getting it (according to the waitstaff) so either bring your own or stay away from the pork belly. In fact, stay away from the pork belly anyway. But as I mentioned, awesome drinks.
