Brunch Not Worth It
They say you get what you pay for, and "they" are right- especially when it comes to the bottomless brunch at Maya. For $35 pp you get lots of weak drinks and lots of tasteless food. The enchiladas had no flavor. Neither did the Eggs Benedict. Nor did the guacamole... We ate at the bar and the bartender was friendly and attentive, but the great service in no way made for an over priced meal of barely edible food.

Fair food, outrageous prices and bad service (waiters trying to sell you more and more). Love how they hid their inspeciton it in the corner of their window behind a menu... Ughh

Bring your burrito loving baby
We went there with our baby who only eats Mac & Cheese and were shocked to see him party like it was Cinco de Mayo. This is a Mexican restaurant that Gerber would give two small thumbs up.

Average Food- High prices
I went to maya for my dads Birthday. Sea Food empenadas was soggy and had no flavor at all, almost no shrimp in the dish. The rock shrimp quesadilla was a complete joke. For $15 they gave the smallest portion I have ever seen. Pork and chicken taco are below average, other places blow this place away!

do not come here
This restaurant it the classic NYC tourist trap. Tiny portions, waiters who desperately try and squeeze every penny out of you. The food quality itself is fine, beats the little $4 taco places that look like chinese take out places, but certainly not spectacualr. The prices are outrageous, and you will leave hungry. Atmosphere is preety good, but certainly nothing special. Their "specialty margritas" are small and off, regular margaritas on the rocks are tasty. I found some native New Yorkers there for happy hr which is fine if you just want a margarita or two, otherwise avoid at all costs.

so-so
nice atmosphere and spot. they pay attention to detail (the menu, the silverware, etc). that being said the food is hit or miss and generally very overpriced for what it is. my girlfriend had the mahimahi which was quite innovative, i had a pork dish which was very blah. overall a decent experience but the food definitely does not warrant the price. would probably not return

Attitude service, way overpriced, not worth your money!
Went for dinner, ordered a strawberry margarita at 13+$ served in a small cup, then had the pre fix menu which was not all that. my friend ordered a ceviche that was all tomato soup and when we told our server she made a little remark that my friend had already took a bite and gave an attitude for taking it off the bill. it seems this place is more concerned about taking your money and overcharging you for food and poor service.i can make my own enchiladas at home for $5.00 and not $20 plus tax and no attitude. Also a friend of mine placed an order over the phone and got attitude as well. very unfriendly people. take my money but at least serve me with a smile and friendliness.
