    Solid casual dining

Very good burgers, great variety, not too pricey. Very solid lunch/dinner spot. Much better than Duke's or any other of those types. They benefit from being the sister restaurant to Angelo & Maxie's Steakhouse. Highly recommended if you you don't want to go too fancy or too cheap. You can even bring a date there.

    Great Burgers!!!

Have been to Maxie's more than three times. I love their burgers. They are juicy and perfectly cooked. I especially like the coffee burger and the kobe burger. The fries are delicious. My favorite are the sweet potato fries but my friend got the shoestring fries and they were great also. I want to go back and try the steak one day. I recommend this place for a good value, high quality bar food.

    Slip Sliding Away

Four us shared sliders. Thirty of them for $55. They come out on a three level serving tray. They were much thicker than I expected which is not always a good thing with a slider. We could only eat about 4 each and took the rest home. A short time later I was incredibly thirsty. The next day I warmed up the left overs and I realized the meat was very salty. I hadnt noticed it the night before when I put mushrooms or onions on them.. I took a couple of bites and dumped the rest. There is reason why White Castle has been in business all these many decades. They know sliders and what they are supposed to be. If you eat here, stick with the burgers.

    Should be better

This place looked great, and we like Angelo and Maxie's, so we thought it was the perfect addition to the neighborhood. Considering that they are running a successful restaurant I don't know why the service was about the worst we have ever experienced. We waited forever to give our order, waiter gave us bad advise on portions, fries came out 20 minutes before the burgers so they were cold when the burgers came (they did replace them) We waited again to get our check and for all the waiting the food was just ok - except for the sweet potato fries which were excellent. Hopefully in time they will get better,

It could be great but its not even good

I cannot remember the last time I had such poor service in a NYC restaurant. Our first thought was that they must be short staffed - but that was not the case. There were plenty of people working we just could not get anyone’s attention. I am not sure if we stood on our chairs and jumped up and down that we could have gotten the staffs attention - that is how bad it was !! Finished plates were left on the table forever, no one checked to see if we wanted another round of drinks, our meals took to long to come out etc. I was excited for a new casual neighborhood spot; I guess I am just going to have to wait.

    Fried pickles

Great casual spot to watch a game with a great burger or have dinner with friends. Bartenders and waitress were really friendly and there was a good beer selection. I'd recommend the sliders or a steak and the fried pickles were awesome... -Also, not sure what "Lacking" was talking about b/c the food was much better than a suburban chain restaurant.

    Great meal and bargain

We ate here with our young children and had an awesome experience. The food was great (and reasonably priced) The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and it is a great place to watch sports as there are many large flatscreens. We will definitely go back!!
