hot chocolate
Have the Mexican Hot Chocolate. It is with cinnamon and it is delicious. It's around four dollars but so is starbucks so it's not that bad. Also try the carmelized pecans it would be well worth it for anyone who did not like this place to go back simply for that alone.

Walk On Bye Buy bye
Not worth the service by the "host" Staff all 4 of them and you cant get a table and there were so many open. ok so after the forever long wait I just wanted some good food and who cares about service all that much anyway. Can you say over way over kitchen overload guess that was the cause of the long wait. So catch a waiter if you can then wait 45 mins for your order think that's bad only one order came we waited 20 mins more for mine. Food was good . The whole best cholate in the word thing is way over done it's not bad though either. Just think about the unfriendly staff and the price and the time before you go there are better places to spend your money and time.

Not a place for true chocolate lovers
The desserts were ok. The chocolate truffle cake was dry as was the chocolate brownie cookie. The Italian hot chocolate was equivalent to drinking a sugar syrup. You could not taste the chocolate really. I threw the hot chocolate after two to three sips. I liked the hot chocolate at Jacques Torres and City Bakery better. Given the prices for the drinks and desserts, it is best to avoid the place.

Awesome Breakfast
My husband and I went to Max's for Breakfast and loved it! It was a very scrumptious breakfast! I ordered the Peanut Butter brioche french toast - it was heavenly. It came with a melted chocolate in a mini beaker - looked cute. They dont use the best quality chocolate though - not as good as Jacques Torres but fair enough. My husband ordred parisian waffles and that was delicious too. I would go back! Oh and this is a great place for kids! It was fun to watch kids all around getting excited on the chocolate rush!

good desserts; poor service
The space is nicely decorated and themed, and the desserts are pretty good -- not gourmet and maybe only a notch above stuff like Cheesecake Factory, but pretty good. The problem is the service, which rarely rises to basic levels of competence. Three of the five times I've been here, our order had been lost and had to be resubmitted. Once it got lost *twice* and we ended up sitting there over an hour. Each time, the servers made the excuse that it's "too croweded," but it's ALWAYS crowded there. The only rational solution is never to go again.

Great Place for a Date
Yum, yum, and more yum. We loved the waffle sundae and fondue for two. The ambience was elegant and fun, and the chocolate theme was artfully executed throughout. Can't wait to go back!

Chocolate heaven :)
Went here on a tuesday night after dinner around 8pm. The wait was only 10 mins which gave us time to explore the place. As soon as you walk in you are in chocolate heaven. The place is like a modern willy wonka's factory. Machines churning chocolate, pipes with chocolate flowing thru them it totally sets the mood. We ordered the sharring which is a little bit of everything you get a waffle with your choice of ice cream flavor , your choice of chocolate sauce flavor and it all come in seperate containers so you can put as little or as much as you want on it. The waffle is topped with the ripest bananas and candied nuts. On the same plate you get a fun little beeker filled with the ganache of your choice topped with pop rocks candies as well as a piece of a hazlenut chocolate bar. That is just the first part the second part of the sharring is chocolate fondue your choice of flavor served with strawberries and bananas as well as marshmallows to roast in the open flame you are provided with. This a great choice to get if you really can't decide on one choice. We only had water to drink as we did not want to be on chocolate overload. But we did purchase white hot chocolate mix to take home with us. The service was excellent up until it was time to get the check we kind of waited a little bit for the check but it gave us time to digest what we just had devoured. I wanted to go back the next night to eat because I was dreaming about it in my sleep. Definitely make the trip here
