I have dined in at this sushi restaurant 3 times and each time was unsatisfied, but decided to give it another chance because of its many positive reviews. No more! On my last visit, I ordered the King Crab Roll as well as a vegetarian roll of peanut and avocado. The King Crab Roll was awful. It was bland, poorly rolled - kept falling apart when touched - and after I found a bone/cartilage of some sort in it for the 3rd time, I gave up. The vegetarian roll was fine, standard. I can't offer specific menu choices from my other visits, but they were also poor and not to my liking. For the price, I was expecting more. Check out Ko Sushi or Sushi Suki instead.

We're lucky to have this place on the UES, one of the best values - always great food, always friendly service on the phone, and correct everytime. can't ask for anything more - except recently noticed they are taking longer for deliveries - maybe it's just getting too popular!

It was great! Very attentive service. Convenient ambiance: you can see how the sushi is made. Recommendable!

Wow. That one person who said the fish wasn't good has no idea what s/he's talking about. Freshest fish for the best prices - I take friends here all the time and they're consistently impressed, even after I talk it up like crazy (and I'm picky).

This was the only local sushi place I ordered from when I moved into the neighborhood for two years. The food is pretty consistent and the price is fair in the area. My GF and I eat here/ order at least twice a week. Matsu is the only place we went to.
