For a former New Orleanean, MasQ makes me homesick. It's that relaxed, not 'designed' feeling that emanates out the door, and the charm of the owner. Food is good. Needs some fried shrimp, or did I just miss it? I think I'm growing to love this place in my 'hood.

Live in the 'hood and had been meaning to try out this place since it opened. Why did I wait so long! What a cute little boite of a place... not so much in the Paris sense but in a "cozy astrological down Orleans way sense." Greeted by guests around a circular bar at the front when we arrived my party and I took a high top table in the middle room surrounded by sofas and chairs around regular tables. Our waitress was very accommodating and the friendly owner came by to discuss our menu questions. Our drinks were a nice pour and the food was delicious. I intend to go back as there are so many choices on the menu that I want to try. You can make a meal of "small plates" or go the typical appetizer then entrée route. Later in the evening music started play from the area in the back. If we could have stayed we would have lingered.

Walking down 49th st. Came across MASQ . The staff welcomed us and we sat for a quick bite before we continued our walk. Was amazed with the service and quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere . Prices are very reasonable. And to our amazement they had a one woman performance called Garbo Dreams which was performed by a young woman convincingly as some of us do remember Garbo . All in all we had a wonderful experience at MASQ and would recommend a visit .

The food is OK but certainly not worth the prices. They are charging $15 for a sub-par Panini, and 15-17 for Salads. If you are looking for food, do yourself a favor and walk up 2nd ave to better places.

I have had many lovely evenings at Masq! The horseshoe bar is very unique and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and the chef even kept the kitchen open late for a group of us who came in late after a rehearsal and were hungry! The owners are friendly and take the time to get to know you. This is a really great place!
