    Mmmmmmm

Everything here is great except the fact that you have to wait to get in. Service is great. I've never seen a wait staff work so hard, consistently. Food is excellent.

    No

Went with bf and friend. Seafood was "fishy" and fries were cold. Waitress was doing us a favor. Expensive. Will not be back.

    Not happy

The ambience was okay, but it was cramped. Not a place to dine if you are claustrophobic or like good service. The food is okay, but overpriced.

    Delicious food and great service

The food here is so fresh. It was presented beautifully but not in a too-fancy way, and all this went really well with the atmosphere. It's a little crowded, but it's really a lovely place to eat and talk. The service was also very friendly and attentive.

    A reality check is needed!

I have eaten at Mary's several times in past years, but the experience I had last night was one of the worst. Yes it's small & crowded, but the waitress we had asked 3 0r 4 times within 5 minutes if we had decided what to eat making my dinner companion and myself pressured to oreder FAST! A sturgeon entree was on the menu and after a 'it's my favorite' review from the waitress I ordered it. My dinner companion had never tasted sturgeon prepared this way and I offered her a taste. Neither she or I are fussy, but it was totally inedible! Literally 3 bites were taken, one by her, and two by myself. The first and a second to confirm, that no way am I going to eat this. The waitress passed by several times, filling my water glass waiting for us to finish, but totally ignored the fact that I had not eaten what was served nor did she ask if everything was ok. Within a minute of my companion finishing her dinner, the dishes were wisked away and we were asked if we wanted anything else. Deciding to pass on desert, the check was on the table within no more than another minute. So, if you are looking to spend between $80-$100 for dinner, feel pressured to decide what to order by all means go for it! I will never return to Mary's. There are to many other excellent places to eat. On the other hand, there are also lots of new customers that will stand in line, cued up like at a Bank,6pm waiting for a so-so meal and lousy service at Mary's ..

    Dank lobster rolls

Dank lobster roll. Almost as good as the ones from the Gay Head Lighthouse....almost.

$12 for a sundae? Come on, really?

I dined at Mary's the other night as I have dozens of other times. Everything tasted delicious as usual. Just a couple of comments: 1) A couple of shrimp in my shrimp tacos were not de-veined properly. Might want to double check quality control in that area because it's always unsettling to get a shrimp that's got stuff left in it and 2) $12 for an ice cream sundae is exorbitant any time, but particularly with a casual dining experience and in this economy. It tastes great - but the price of that sundae was hard to swallow.
