Subpar
I read a number of good reviews for Mary's Fish Camp so I decided to take my parents who were visiting at the time. We waited for one and a half hours to be seated in a tiny corner -- uncomfortably wedged between two large groups. The waitress forgot our drinks completely...here comes our food and still no drinks. The food was bland and unremarkable -- one of our dishes consisted of lettuce, grilled fish and mango slices. (?) Radio music was blasting through dinner making conversation impossible. Poor experience, I will never ever go back.

What's the rush, Mary?
I've been to Mary's several times. I like the lobster roll and oysters. But I really really really hate being rushed. Tonight we went at 6:00 and were probably out in 40 minutes. The waitress (the one with tattoos) brought our oysters before our drinks and kept hovering over our table to take our plates the minute we took our last bites. My mom accidentally gave the waitress two cards instead of one-- and only noticed when the waitress brought back two receipts for her to sign. The waitress didn't seem to care that there was a misunderstanding/mistake. And I just don't get why if she was given 2 cards, why she didn't ask us how we wanted to split the bill? Ugh. I love the food but the service and cramped environment are major downers.

Best in town
Went in for dinner the other night with a friend and the food was AMAZING! I'd never eaten a tile fish before and went on the server's recommendation. And I'm so glad I did! We had oysters to start and they were fresh and wonderful. Blueberry cake finished the meal - every bite was heaven! And the staff was warm and wonderfully fun!

Wow, talk about being rushed!
I recently went to Mary's Fish Camp for a friends birthday dinner. It was a Tuesday night, but there was still a small wait, which is too be expected at a small restaurant. Although the food was pretty good, it was overshadowed by our very rude waitress. It was obvious that she was rushing to turn the table. We couldn't even say hello to each other before she started rushing us for our order and got annoyed (sighs and eye rolls) when we needed another second b/c one friend was in the bathroom. The food is not cheap and it was our friends birthday, couldn't we have a little time to enjoy our meal? Needless to say the food wasn't good enough to make me go back and endure that waitress.

Lives Up to its Reputation
I found Mary's on this website. I went with my husband and son. We were not disappointed. We started with shared lobster knuckles and the watercress/avocado salad . Two of our main courses were the lobster roll - best I've ever had and the thin cut fries were great. My husband had the Red Snapper Tacos. The salsa and sauce were perfect. We also had the asparagus with dill and tarragon in a lemon dressing. We chose to sit at the bar to have a shorter wait. This turned out to be the best seating in the small restaurant. We were able to observe chef/owner Mary Redding and her crew prepare all of the food like a well oiled machine. They didn't need to speak to one another to get the food prepared and out in an efficient manner. The wait staff truly work together as a team. I will definitely return. We were so satisfied with our meal that we could only split one dessert - the key lime square with cream fresh.

Great lobster roll
My favorite NYC spot for a lobster roll. Also love the lobster knuckles, melt in your mouth, sweet flavorful lobster. A little messy but extremely delicious! Fish and seafood are fresh and perfectly prepared. It's a small and noisy place, but definitely worth it. One of my fave spots.

Love this place
We go here often and it's always excellent. If you don't like it, then you don't get it. And yes the lobster roll is great but there are so many other great things on the menu.
