Best dinner on Avenue A!
i am a longtime area resident, and i can't speak highly enough of Mary O's - the Dublin Curry Chicken is to die for, the Sheppard's Pie as well. staff is attentive and friendly, and Mary O is an angel. there's a great vibe here that is absent from most other places in the nabe. i love it.

Best Shepherd's Pie - Just like home!
Just discovered this great little place with my boyfriend last week. We stopped in for a drink at the bar and shared a shepherds"s Pie. It was soooooo gooooooood I wanted another. We will certainly be back. Great space, great neighborhood regulars and a very attentive owner. Mary"O has this amazing way of making you feel so welcome and comfortable. So happy we found you Mary'O.

Never a disappointing meal
Mary-o's is such a great place to eat. The food is SO different from what one expects from "Irish" food. It's as close to fine dining as you'd get in the East Village. And the big surprise is the low price. Great looking space and the owner is friendly and attentive.

Excellent food, reasonable prices
Everything we had was superb, and the prices were 3/4 of what one pays for comparable quality in the East Village. Friendly, calm ambience. A concise menu and a full bar. This is a fine restaurant pub waiting to be discovered.

Awesome Restaurant!
I have never had a bad meal at this restaurant. The food, service and ambience are consistently excellent. There are specials almost every night, and when the owner's husband brings back fresh crab, scallops and halibut from Alaska, where he works, watch out! Definitely one of the best restaurants in the East Village.
