Had the burger and fries. Firstly the burger was hand-made from good quality meat. And the fries .... or "chips" as we call them back home, they were home-cut from real spuds and cooked to perfection.

Mary-o's is an East Village standout. The food is exceptional, especially for the neighborhood, and the service is great. There's always somebody interesting to chat with at the bar. You have not had good shepherds pie unless you've had it here.

i am a longtime area resident, and i can't speak highly enough of Mary O's - the Dublin Curry Chicken is to die for, the Sheppard's Pie as well. staff is attentive and friendly, and Mary O is an angel.

Everything we had was superb, and the prices were 3/4 of what one pays for comparable quality in the East Village. Friendly, calm ambience. A concise menu and a full bar. This is a fine restaurant pub waiting to be discovered.
