Great food every time
I live right by Mary Ann's and eat here fairly often because it's always great food, whether it's take out or to eat in the restaurant. The chips and salsa, which are free, are amazing and the gaucamole is awesome too. The fajitas are huge and will normally last two meals and I've got a big appetite. I don't understand the bad reviews as there's not a lot better than sitting on out the front with a cold beer eating solid tasty mexican food. This is how mexican food should be

A split decision
My wife and I have been to the restaurant twice. The first time, it was really good and the second time it was just ok. Sure, the place is noisy and the service is kind of slow, but it's all about the food, right? Well, tonight we ordered delivery and it will be the last time I order there. My Sirloin burrito had tasty filling but was covered with an overpowering yellow cheese. I actually had to pull it off to continue eating my dish. My wife, on the other hand, enjoyed her vegetable enchilada, calling it "succulent" although it was missing the tofu that was supposed to be included, according to the menu description. My advice? go hang out and have guacamole, salsa, chips and drinks but do yourself a favor and stay away from the main dishes.

Could have been Great
Guacamole was really good, but main meal of enchaladas was mediocre - as were the margaritas

disappointing
I went here on New Year's Day and it was just awful. No other way to put it. And terrible value. Cold beans, subpar enchiladas. I was so mad thinking of all the meals I could have had with that $$ in the neighborhood! NEVER going back.

Middle of the road Mexican
I have to agree with all the comments about the mediocre quality of the food. It's just okay. I'd even say a chain restaurant might even be better. The food isn't awful, but don't come here expecting your taste buds to get rocked. That said, I still order for take away at least once a month. It must be the free chips and salsa... What Mary Ann's does have is a great outdoor dining area. If you're in the EV and feel like chugging margaritas outdoors on a warm night, this is your spot. After tossing back a few, you won't care if your entree is "just okay."

Just okay...
This place is just okay. The chips and salsa aren't bad, but I've had better. The Blue Corn Camarones was okay. The shrimp were fresh and tasty, but the blue corn coating was like any other fried shrimp dish I've had. The black beans were pasty, the rice was Uncle Ben's and tasted blah, and the salad left much to be desired. My husband had the fajitas and the meat was dry and whatever marinade they used was way too vinegary. Plus they only gave him two small tortillas. The only semi-bright spot in an otherwise dull meal was the margarita. For what you pay, it's pretty good, but it could be much better. This place was not the worst Tex-Mex I've had, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again. I certainly would not take visiting guests here either. One more thing, they only take cash. Considering that a meal for two with drinks and entrees, (no appetizers), was $43, they should take credit cards.

Bad food and service
My friend and I got the chicken and avocado salad, and the mole poblano. The mole poblano tasted bad and the chicken was hard.. the salad didnt seem fresh. The service was bad they took our order after ages, the food took a while, and after waiting half an hour for the check, we had to go up to the bar to pay..
