Poor delivery
My first review. Just had to say how awful the delivery experience was. Took almost 90 minutes and everything arrived congealed, cold and insanely salty. Even chips were stale and burnt. Strange..

C'mon people! It's not that bad!
I stopped in here for dinner on my way home last night and I really have to disagree with all these negative reviews. Mexican Haute Cuisine it is not, but if you are in the mood for some everyday gringo-inspired Mex, it fills the bill. I had the grilled steak chimichanga, which was a very decent portion with plenty of meat, cheese laden beans, rice, and good size dollops of sour cream and guacamole. I was very satisfied. Yes, the place is a little down at the heels and the service is not top-notch, but the prices more than reflect this. It's an everyday type of place where you can have something to eat and a beer for about $20. Don't go expecting it to be something it's not and you'll be fine.

Downhill Service
In the past two years, it has gone downhill. Food is still good for take-out but the restaurant itself is annoying. And the service is spotty at best. You get ignored, brought the wrong stuff and left to your own devices to get napkins, salt or whatever you want.

you're killing me
~Menu Pages says they open at 11am NOT TRUE they open whenever they want. One day I ordered at 11 & like a week later they told me that they dont open until noon. Make up your mind. ~Guy who answers the phone is rude. ~Delivery guy comes w/o change. So make sure you have the exact amount or use your credit card. ~Food is pretty good. It's simple & delicious. Too bad everything else does not measure up.

Since the change in ownership...
My girlfriend and I used to crave Mary Ann's. We'd go 2 or 3 times a month for TGIF or a fun Saturday night. Not anymore. Can't remember the last time we went there. They have changed hands and the new owners and most of the staff are not even close to any kind of Spanish, not to mention Mexican. They have no clue about ambiance. They've given table candle lighting the boot and the overall lighting is just plain bright white. No atmosphere, and they couldn't care less. The food is less than okay and a pitcher of Margaritas is jam packed with ice. And they don't have waiters there, just food servers. The last couple of times we were there we asked ourselves "Why?". It was always a bit of a factory, but it was still hip and cool. But now, forget it.

Not so good anymore
Mary Ann's used to be awesome - best Mexican anywhere. I went tonight and it was disappointing. Chips and salsa were the only good thing there. The rice was dry, the tables were unstable and the music was so loud I had to shout across the table. Food had decent flavor but it wasn't special like it used to be - not worth the money. The waiter was not knowledgeable about the beers offered and it took forever to get the check. Why is it impossible to get good Mexican in NYC these days?
