One of the better East Side Italian restaurants, for sure. A warm welcome and comfortable seating. Attentive service, fresh bread and good specials. The grilled calamari was tasty and the special spinach noodles with shrimp was fresh, hot and well cooked. Salmon with spinach was quite good and the wine (Chianti) well served and of high quality. Attentive service, and other diners were received as if they were regulars. A bit pricy for some, $120.00 with tax and tip, with appetizer, wine and dessert for one. We will go back for special occasions and bring a flashlight so that we can read the menu in the romantic lighting.

I've been here 3x in the past few months and have never been disappointed. The food is great, the prices are reasonable (and they do half portion pasta,) and the service was wonderful. This is a wonderful neighborhood spot that I'll definitely come back to.

I have been going to Maruzzella for many years and the food is always amazing. Very inventive dishes. Fresh ingredients and a creative menu. I have never been disappointed. A great place for a celebration or if you live in the neighborhood like I do a great place to go any night of the week. The service is wonderful. The staff is warm and inviting. They remember their customers and always greet them with a smile. I have had Everything on the menu and everything is delicious. My favorite is the veal masala with roasted potatoes. I love the warm weather when they have the outdoor seating. It is truly a New York experience.

I have to say this is the best Italian in the neighborhood. The seafood salad is amazing. I had their Soft shell crabs on a bed of spinach - wow! This is a "must go".

The food here is excellent. I used to live in the neighborhood and it was a staple. I wanted to go for my b-day, so I made a reservation online -I noted in the reservation comments that my husband was coming from work and might be late, but to please hold the reservation because it was my birthday so we were definitely coming. I guess they read it, because after the meal, they brought a piece of tiramisu with a candle. Nice, I thought, even though we were stuffed. When the bill came, they had charged $9 for the birthday treat I didn't want. I was upset and my husband talked to them - they took off the charge. However, I was embarrassed and wanted to get out of there quickly - it soured my birthday dinner. I felt like they were taking information they got in a roundabout way and swindling me with it. Not cool.

I was here last week with family. The food was amazing! I had the goat cheese & dried tomatoes salad, and the pasta primavera as an entree. Superb!! But a bit pricey. The place was almost full, but we had trouble hearing each other in conversation. They really should do something about the acoustics. Otherwise I loved it! I also liked the homey feel. It wasn't your typical college aged server coming to take your order. It was a middle aged man... could have been a server, could have been a manager, could have been the owner. It was charming, any way about it.
