Out of this world
Visited on Sat 9/15 for a pre-theater lunch. The atmosphere and service was excellent! Although the menu seems a bit pricey the overall experience was worth it. It's definitely a place to try for an "out of this world experience".

fun for the whole family!
Mars has a great atmosphere and is fun for the whole family. It has a marvelous game room and a dining room that is divine. Mars also has great birthday parties and I wish i could go there every day.

ok place if you like pay triple prices
Without exaggeration, prices are three times what they are outside of midtown. Definitely not worth it. Advice: Go to a reasonably price place instead and then take your kids on a (or two) carriage ride in central park (for $34) with the savings!

Not as bad as people make it out to be!
We just returned from visiting Mars 2112. I can't comment on the ride as I did not go through that due to being pregnant. We were however seated promptly and received delicious food in fairly large portion sizes. I see complaints about the price of food and it's honestly not bad at all maybe a little more than McDonalds or Applebees or something but about average for NYC. We got 2 kids corn dog meals which were about $7 each but you got a HUGE helping of french fries that were delicious and 2 corn dogs and the burger kids meal again we got a huge serving of fries (an entire basket) and two burgers! So for the price and the amount of food we received we thought it wasn't bad at all (have been to many other NYC restaurants). As for adult food we ended up just getting appetizers I had the quesadillas which yes were a bit pricey but you get 1 tortilla folded in half at friendlys for $8 so 2-3 tortillas backed with stuff for $12.95 again didn't make me think it was a bad deal compared to other chain restaurants. We also got a special that was salmon cakes and salad which were to die for . Like I said before we've been to MANY NYC restaurants some top of the line and the food compared to many that you pay much more for. You have to realize your going to a restaurant designed for children and expect that. I read all these horrible reviews expecting the worst and was pleasantly surprised and would defintely go back again and recommend this restaurant to others.

For kids with rich parents
Mars begins with a neat "ride" to get into the restaurant ($2 service charge). The restaurant is full of kids. The food is overpriced but satisfactory in taste. Like the title says, if you have kids, and are in the area and can bring a sack of money, this is a good choice. Otherwise, keep walking.

More "theme park" than restauraunt
I've been here a few times, mostly if I was babysitting some various relatives kids. It's good if you like overpriced food thats not well done, waiting a long time for a table (especially during weekends) and sticky tables. Would not recomend it at all to anyone, ever.

.
Went here for my brothers birthday & although the atmosphere was amazing & fun (especially the optional ride to get into the restaurant & the bathrooms), the food was less than stellar. In fact, with how dark it is in there, they can skimp on many things. They should just serve drinks in my opinion. It isn't worth the $. Turn it into an amusement park! It's also hard to use the bathroom in darkness & with talking going on!
