Mars 2112 (CLOSED)

Went here on a date for something different and fun. The idea and restaurant itself were great and the atmosphere could be, except for that the place was nearly empty! I am guessing people are staying away due to the poor food and service. I'm not sure if our waiter was trying to be alien-esque or if that was his normal manner--very distant, aloof and making odd comments to us. neither my date or myself could figure him out! That said, the place is cool inside i would recommend going once just for something different, but don't expect a decent meal for the cost.

Fifteen of us went to this restaurant for a party. We missed our group in the beginning so never got to ride on the shuttle...afterwards, after paying a $500.00 tab for subpar food, we tried to get a ride but no one would help and the shuttle never came. The chicken was obviously some pre-frozen commercially packaged tasteless meat, although the salad was good...as it was doused with balsamic vinegarette dressing. The music repeated itself after about an hour...it was bad enough and loud enough the first time! The best thing about the place were the Martians..who were friendly and did not speak!

Cool Atmosphere & thats all! The food was poor and the service was less than desirable. The ride is cool I recommend it but also bring a mini flashlight trust me you'll need it to see the menu.

Recently my family andI traveled from Florida to New York. We frequent amusement parks here, so as far as originality goes, we thought we had seen it all. We met friends at this restaurant, there were 9 in our party. Five of our members were under the age of 8. Our experience at Mars 2112 was so amazing that I will recommend you to all of our friends. You truly get an A+++ for creativity and originality. Because of the remarkable effort that went into the design, we are willing to allow for a few flaws. The quality of food was not that great. I suffer from Hypoglycemia and your choices of food for someone with my condition was also limiting. Those are minor things that can be fixed with the proper Chef and Kitchen Manager. Normally we would not choose to return to a restaurant unless the food quality was impeccable, but in your case we would return over and over just for the experience. All in all we rate your restaurant with a 98% success. My children have not stopped raving about the awesome time they had at Mars 2112. My sons have both brought in photos of the aliens to there classes. Thanks for taking the risk.

I stumbled upon this place by accident, glad I did. How much fun for any age, everyone needs to try this place out at least once. loved it so much went back for round two the week after.

I went there with my sixth grade class from Barkhamsted, CT it was awesome. We had exellent service with great fries. The scenery was amazing and the arcade gave the best way to have fun. It felt like you were in Mars! What fun!

My family and I just went to this "restaurant" last wk (June 14th 2005). We were not aware even after emailing the staff prior to the visit and visiting the website, that you must pay an entrance fee of $2 per person to get into this restaurant. I am pregnant and my 19 month --we're not allowed to ride this ride; but we still had to pay the money. We were sat right in front of the waiter entrance to the kitchen. I was hit at least 5 times by servers coming in and out, had a broken table. The music was so very loud we couldn't even talk, I didn't even notice our baby was crying because the music was so loud. Our ears were ringing when we left. (they had a party downstairs) Our server came by ONE TIME to take our food, drink order. He came by at the end of the meal (no refills, no napkins, no condiments because he never showed back up) to give us our check and see if we wanted more drink (we were done so why bother?). Then he gave us the wrong check, someone elses for approximately $10 more. We brought this to the managers attention, she said she would adjust the bill. She took $5 off. (woopee). Then the waiter came back out and said "DOES this not look like your bill?" (at this point it was the CORRECT bill) I said yes, this one is, the last one was not. He said OH I gave you another tables bill. ok. Left the correct bill with us. Then we waited 10 more minutes for him to come back for the bill. He ran the credit card through, brought us the receipts to sign but did not bring back the credit card at all. 20 more minutes passed til we see him again (after grabbing another persons attention twice) he brings it back out. No apology, explanation anything.
