    Tasty, fast and good value!

Most of the restaurants in this neighborhood are out of my price range. Marrakesh, however, is both reasonably priced and delicious! Unfortunately, I haven't tried all that much on the menu since I'm rather obsessed with the Vegetarian lunch special. I get a falafel with grape leaves, lentil soup (THE BEST!) and baklava for about $12 and change including tip...can't beat that! The delivery is fast, and the food is fresh and tasty.

    Middle Eastern Food at Finest

I arrived for brunch on a weekday. Perhaps they are not quite ready to serve at 10:30 am as they say, but they are willing to accomodate and the service was excellent and friendly. On their recommendation, I ordered the Morrocan soup this is chickpeas in a light tomato base with cilantro and other, subtle, seasonings. Very tasty! I followed this with the Mid-Eastern Combo platter: falafel, babaganosh, and hummus, accompanied with a salad. A tangy hot sauce was available for the falafel. Warm brown pita bread was available for dipping. This was very tasty and highly satisfying. And as for the babaganosh, this was by far the best I've ever eaten. Price-wise, you more than get your value for the money. I'd definitely return, and I thank my fellows on this forum who recommended this place to me.

Small place great food & service

This is a secluded place and built below street level but worth the effort to find it. The quality of food is excellent. The prices, especially in these hard times are quite reasonable. In fact they have not increased their prices at all. The staff is very prompt and most friendly. I have placed both very small orders and large as well and each time the people serving me were equally kind and warm. Just love this place & strongly recommend it.

    Nice venue

This place is fantastic! Some one wrote about "no music". This is why this venue is great. Don't you think there are so many restaurants in Manhattan blasting loud music and you can't even hear a word and have to talk loud? This place is a perfect place to have a good conversation with your friends and family or whatever because it's quiet. I don't like music playing too loud. Can't talk - hence can't have a good time. If you have good conversations, you don't need a loud music.

    Subpar Food, Subpar Delivery

We got our delivery 50 minutes later. The falafel and the lamb kebob were cold and tasteless. And they made a mistake with the order. This was our first time ordering because of the rave reviews. We will not be ordering again.

No air-conditioning on a warm day, no music (excluding the boom box in the kitchen), and slow service. Food is average.
