Best fish in Brooklyn
I totally disagree with previous review . I am the regular customer in this restaurant. They do have live music every Saturday night, starting 11pm. so, there is no secret about it. And last Saturday indeed there was the great holiday of all Muslims. So, lets show respect in stead of attacking this place. The food is always great. i recommend to everyone to try this place out.

Not the best place
We celebrated my nephew's birthday 11/6/11. Came in a good mood and left with huge headache: the food was so-so plus there was a party next too us with private DJ. Not only the music was extremely loud, but when we complain, the response from the manager was that this was muslim holiday. Most likely I will not return to this place and I definately will not recommend it to anybody

great fish
we were there just because the hostess of the place told us that we should try and we won;t regret,and so it was,believe me it is a great place to go!!The fish is awesome, and the personal too, the waiter we had was so nice to us, at the entrance we were met by a nice lady-hostess,very polite too! very good, amazing!! i told all my friends to go there, amazing dishes amazing people!!

Great fish in Sheepshead Bay
What a pleasant surprise! Stumbled upon this Turkish restaurant, the shepherd's salad and bread alone is worth the trip to Sheepshead Bay. Fabulous grilled fish.

Loved the fish
We had a birthday party at Marmaris on 03/12/11. Loved it. The food was excellent. Their bar menu is very cheap. Our server was very nice and attentive. They had live music after 11p.m so we stayed for some Turkish dancing and a belly dancer. We had great time and definitely will be back.

Not a nice surprise
I've been a regular guest for a few years and it was always good. To my surprise, what a change in quality of food and service since my last visit in October 2010. We ordered octopus salad and lamb chops. Salad was good, lamb chops absolutely not. Waitress did not ask how we want meat to be done, and even after telling her that we want it medium well, we got it less than medium, and I believe that poor lamb was a grown up "adult". We had to ask for bread and olives (never had to ask before- it always came first), got bread, sorry- no olives... Bread was taken of the table before we finished it, and without asking us. Wine list is OK. Cheapest wine $20; if you bring your own bottle, be prepared- cork/corkage fee $20!

A nice surprise
What a nice surprise, we found Marmaris by mistake. We walked though the doors with hostess greeting us with a cheerful welcome as we were seated the waiter came over and asked us if it was our first time, with our answer, the waiter made a suggestion from the menu. All I can say is he was right, the locanta salad was amazing. the St. Peters grilled fish was cooked to perfection, and the service was the best what service should be. Even though it is a little pricey it was well worth it just for the service. I know that I will be back over and over even if it is a long drive from NJ it is worth the trip.
