Very disappointing
mussels were bland(sauce) ,didn't taste any garlic(supposed to be garlic cream sauce) topped with huge chunks of onion-turnoff-had to dig way down for 'bland' cream sauce and mussels...had to ask for a spoon.... overcharged on oysters.....chocolate mousse tasted like refrigerated for a week....wine not cold.....forget this!

No delivery to 16th Street?
'I'm sorry but we don't deliver that far'. I live on 16th street and 6th avenue. Literally 6 blocks down from the place!

Very good!
Hadn't been here for several months and was very pleased food was as good as always. Drinks were very good and reasonably priced. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Why the crowd?
Sent the food back twice, disappointing appetizers, shrimp was not fresh. Pasta was inedible. Live next door and will never return.

Belgium in New York
I spent a lot of time in Belgium while I was in college. This place has the most authentic Belgian, er, "experience" in New York. The beers are great and they know how to serve them and the moules frites (with mayo) are a really good deal and they're served in a big bucket. It can get busy, but the staff is nice and it's always a fun and relaxing place to eat. Haven't tried the brunch, but I have friends who swear by it. I highly recommend a visit!

Revolting Breakfast
Moved up the street from Markt recently, was compelled to try it as I'm settling on my local breakfast/brunch spot. Breakfast was awful, coffee worse than diner quality, toast came w/ ice cold butter I couldn't spread on it. Worst part is their answer to home fries- "crispy potato cake", which is in fact a stack of three thin brittle potato cakes, with a texture reminiscent of dried ramen noodles out of the package. On top of the crispy potato cake, were onions stewed with what I think was paprika, that were somewhere between cooked/raw, and generally nasty. I looked all around me and saw finished diners w/ empty plates but the potato cake/stewed onions untouched. Eggs were ok, bacon was fine. Waiter was nice and attentivel. $20+ for your basic two eggs any style breakfast is way too steep for food of this quality. Would never go back
