Great Place for Steak
I have been 3 times now and I really like this place for steak. It's easy to get a table, better atmosphere, and no schlepping to Brooklyn. The location is a bit out of the way unless you are at the seaport. I have no complaints about service, and the porterhouse, filet, and side dishes are all great.

Should-"B"-great
Should be great. A Sat. 8:00 pm visit with much higher expectations. Although the signature Porterhouse was outstanding, the Salmon was overcooked (with a med-rare request), The pre-dinner bread & rolls were stale. The sides were excellent and the overall service was also much less than expectation. An accidentspilled water occurredand the waiter hardly reacted or helped. A member of our party did the clean-up. A restaurant striving for the customer base the food quality and prices Mark Joseph appears to be chasing, needs to take a critical look at the overall customer experience. They need to "fix" this place or get left in the "DUST"!

rude service
Splurged here for my birthday. The food was very good- in fact the lobster ravioli was incredilbe, but our server was down right rude and ruined the entire experience for us. Being a server myself I have never had the heart to complain about my service but my boyfriend and I were seriously contemplating asking for a manager, that is until we noticed our waiter in dozens of photographs with celebrity guests along the walls...

A good experience
Went for parents/ family in town around 6pm. Excellent food - porterhouse and sides. Service was more than adequate although it was not crowded at the time. Wine recommendations were on par. No rush or hassle, a relaxing dinner experience that seemed off the beaten path. Especially good for dinner then a stroll around the seaport.

I won't be going back.
I won't be going back. The food was good however, the service was so poor, I would not go again. The worst thing the server did was give us our desserts, coffee and check all at the same time. He said, I will take that [the bill] in a couple of minutes. When I asked for another cup of coffee, he sneered at me. The restaurant was half empty at that point. We arrived at the restaurant at 445PM for our 5PM reservation and it was about 545PM when our dessert was served. What was the rush?

The only place I would eat steak
I went there last night for the first time and was simply blown away by how delicious the food is. I am not a meat eater and always drown my steaks in sauce, but their fillet mignon was done to perfection that sauce wasn't necessary. The atmosphere is very masculine business meeting type envirornment but the food is to die for. The service is also top notch too (the fact that I ordered from a prefix menu during restaurant week and there was no attitude whatsoever). I will recommend this place to everyone.

I would not eat here again
The steak was not so great - lots of connective tissue. I ordered it medium, which it was, but the outside was not brown - it was kinda gray - maybe the grill wasn't hot enough. And when I didn't order drinks, the waiter made a face. He only came back to serve the meal. Never came by to see how things were - they do that even at the cheapest seediest diners i've eaten at. Kudos to the busboy who filled my water without me having to ask - most places I've eaten at are poor with the water service. I would not eat here again.
