    Love this place!

    Market Table has become one of my favorite restaurants in the West Village. They have an amazing staff of servers and hostesses. The gnocci cannot be missed- and the lamb is great too. It is small, and reservations can be hard to come-by, however if you are willing to take a chance and stop by sometimes you can get a table. I saw the chef on Martha Stewart and heard her rave about it, so I had to give it a try- she was right! The sangria is nothing special so stick to the wine list (wish they had liquor). Great date spot - can be very romantic! Enjoy!!

    so cute

    I randomly ended up at MT for dinner last nightwe were trying to go to Little Owl but the wait was too long. This was a great discovery! I had the special cocktailI think it was called the Jubilee? Anyway, it was light and yummygreat for summertime. The food was quite goodthe gnocchi appetizer was great. Our mains were a wee bit rich, but very tastythe fish was cooked perfectly. The risotto that came with the monkfish was addictive. Our waitress was gracious and very accommodating with substitutions. The thing that blew me away was the service. I honestly can not remember the last time I went to a restaurant where the staff was so friendly and down to earth. The hostess, our waitress, and even the busboy were extremely attentive and sweet without being the least bit overbearing. Even if the food there was not as good as it was, I would go back just for the service. I look forward to coming back!

    I've read all of the reviews and I live across the street, and now have dined here twice with different people on both occasions. I think its greatly overrated the food is good, sure, but nothing entirely inventive or awe-inspiring. I had the branzino. I highly suggest going elsewhere like PO or Perilla both standouts for the same price.

    Village Gem

    After reviewing, searching and trying to make a decision where to eat, my husband and I finally decided to try Market Table. We based it on several reviews and we were not disappointed. The menu, short and sweet. We started with the cured meat plate with a pitcher of Sangria. Split the bacon wrapped scallops and fennel & apple salad. Happy face. Needless to say, the skate and chicken were hot and delicious! An order of asparagus and a glass of wine. Fresh tastes is all you can ask for. No room for dessert. But I can tell you that I kept my eye on the hamburgers that were being brought out to every other table and if I were going to have dessert....well, that probably would have been it. Loved Market Table! Five "N's"

    An Unexepected Surprise

    Went here at recomendation of friend, and although they don't serve martinis, they were so kind to point out that next door at Bar Fry they do. They said since it was a bit early in eveing they would save my seat at bar. I am so glad they did because I had one of the most memorable dinners in my whole life. The tuna with avocados were so damm good I ordered another! The oysters were served with this incrdedible vinagrette, I could have drank the whole bowl. And the strip steak-was I in for a treat!!!! Soooooo good on a bed of arugala and olives-savory!! My friend's fish was to die for-which I consummed almost half of it. I have this place at the top of my list now!

    Fantastic

    Went here today with my wife to check out the burger, which Time Out NY rated as the best in the city. I have to agree, probably the best burger I've ever stuck in my mouth! The service was fantastic - attentive and unimposing. The food was everything I expected and more. The burger was cooked to perfection with fresh toppings and an unbelievable bun. Can't wait to go back!

    All expectations met

    Got there on a monday afternoon. Very busy. Did not have a reservation but me and my friend thought we would try for a table anyway. Hostess was very nice and told us it would be about 25 mins. We had the option of waiting inside or outside on one of the built in benches. We opted for outside where 15 mins the later the hostess came and got us. The waitress was wonderful as well. Very laid back and friendly. Ordered the steak sandwhich and the fried cod sandwhich. Both were amazing! The salad that came with the steak sandwich was light and delicious. The fries that accompanied my fish sandwhich were seasoned to perfection. As full as we were after we ate, we ordered dessert. The polka dot cheesecake was a piece of heaven. The scoop of toasted almond gelato was amazing as well. This is now one of my favorite restaurants.
