Great Boiga, Fries & Dirty Martini

I've been eating here for five years. The burger and fries have always been excellent. Pasta and Pizzas are excellen as well. They have a full bar and really know how to make a drink. Atmosphere is not the best, but it doesn't matter when the food and value is good. It is off the beaten path, although the neighbohrood is up and coming and theater goers are now making their way south and west and eating there before their show.

    Good

The rice pudding is excellent but pricey ($7.5) - the portions are small but the food is very good. The beet salad is great with chicken.

    Highly recommended

My friend and I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was great a very well priced. The atmosphere has certianly been questioned, but to clarify, it is simply an old diner (counter and all) that has been altered by the dim lighting. Not posh or upscale, but certainly comfy!

    Stellar no-frills dining

This friendly little spot is consistently delicious, and unbelievably cheap. I've loved it for years. Fresh, inviting recipes prepared with care, a yummy and affordable winelist, prompt friendly service make it a favorite lunch/early dinner spot on weekdays. Do not confuse lack of showiness for lack of ambience. The casual, unassuming presentation of the decor befits the Hell's Kitchen locale and belies the talent with which this restaurant is managed. It's probably the only way they keep the place from getting incredibly overcrowded! If there's a better place in midtown to relax and savor a truly delicious meal at such a low price, I'd love to hear about it.

    Fantastic food, place need dusting

I was here for a late business lunch. Good wine, great service, and the food was as good or better as many much higher-priced places around. However, we sat by the window and I couldn't stop staring at how dusty the blinds were. This place is a terrific find, but save it for those who already like you; it does not have great ambiance.

    call for hours

the food is good, with good sized portions- the steak frites is a good value and the burgers are fantastic. pastas are nothing out of this world but all quite satisfying. desserts (7 bucks each) and drinks are not so reasonably priced. i like the look of the place, though the aisle tables feel a bit crowded and wobbly. just make sure you call first, as their schedule seems a bit erratic: definitely not the hours posted on the door! don't just drop by saturdays for brunch: not open til 5 for dinner.
