I love it!
Really like this place. The food is great, I personally like the Salmon; the cocktails are excellent and the best thing they have is the banana cake, it is to die for!

So, so...
The food was good but for the price I expected something alot more spectacular. I don't like the way the place looks like inside, a diner. I had lunch here and the windows were wide open. It was so hot and uncomfortable. The server was nice but slow... I don't think I'll ever go back when there are nicer places in the area.

Return Customer
I've eaten here probably 4 times or so. Every time the scallops appetizer is phenomenal - probably what keeps me coming back. The decor and atmosphere are nice and streamlined, but for the price it seems a tad lacking. It was annoying when, during my last trip with a friend, we were the only patrons and they would not honor the happy hour at our table - even though no one else was in there. I know rules are rules - but why wold be hunch over at a bar when there are plenty of tables open and we want to spend MORE money by eating full entrees? Silly. But will probably go back - especially for pre-theatre dinner.

Average Food, Poor Service
While it is a nicely built restaurant, the food is average and certainly overpriced relative to other lunch options in the area. One reviewer said: "Can't beat the price for this neighborhood!" Considering there is a store a block away that sells pizza for a dollar a slice, that doesn't make much sense. Not that they are in the same class of restaurant, but there are some great values in the area that are more interesting than the Market Cafe.

Awesome Eats
Everything here is so good. Steak and chicken entrees are to die for. Can't beat the price for this neighborhood! They also have a full bar....

great salads
We have been going here before the theater for about 5 years. Happened on it by chance. We try other places and then wonder why. Its within walking distance of the theaters, the food is excellent. You can have a light meal or a heavy meal. We have never had a bad meal here.

I have been going since this place opened..I wish I went more often..truly a NYC gem... the staff the food the value ..can not be beat...
