I eat here all the time. Great Service. Great Atmosphere. Very good food. And the best bang for my buck for italian food in a nice restaurant! Great date place!

On a rainy night, the staff at Mario’s made us feel welcome. Although the quarters were tight, the service was attentive and the food was passable (i.e. the chicken scarpariello is chicken francese with sausage). After my husband and I ordered a coffee and tea, the waiter quickly dropped off the check although we had not requested it nor had the waiter asked if we wanted anything else. I asked for another cup of tea , at which time the waiter asked “Do you mean more hot water?” I explained I wanted another cup of tea, not wanting to re-use my squeezed out, decrepit, already been brewed tea bag. He quickly took the check back, brought me a fresh cup of tea and explained that he added the $2.00 for the second cup. Although I don’t expect anything for free, I thought the waiter’s actions were tacky. Certainly he could have allowed a 5 cent Tetley tea bag and 4 ounces of boiling water to “slip by”. I told him it was tacky and he apologized but he frankly ruined the meal.

Great to find such a small and beautiful place in Hell's Kitchen. I sat down to have a great pizza (Napoletana Style). The live jazz that is now playing there are on regular basis makes this a wonderful late night hang. Especially on those cold New York Nights.

What kind of Italian restaurant gives you tomatoe sauce with no garlic? The food sucks! Never ordering from there again.

This is the perfect place if you know you are looking for a low key, moderately priced Italian dinner. Service is always excellent, with a waitstaff that is very genuine in their friendliness. Food is certainly not the finest cuisine ever, but it is very satisfying considering the price you pay. I always go when hitting one of the smaller theaters in the Hells Kitchen Area (37 Arts, Abingdon).

I have been there more than 5 times already, this is one of the best places that I have visited in NYC, i have gone there with girlfriends, family, friends, and i have to say that everybody loved it, starting that the food is cheap, they serve a lot, and the quality of food is delicious!!, I am going this weekend again.
