Glad to have met you
mariella's is one of the best local pizzaria's in gramercy u square area... their pizza is ok, but the chicken parm and the hot dishes are delicious! if you love pizzeria style italian, this is the best of the area.

Consistent and good
I've been going to this pizza shop since the early 1980s, and they've always made a pretty decent slice. The sauce is good, has a bit of a sweet side to it. The crust is very consistent - not too doughy or too thick. Service, atmosphere? Are you kidding? It's a pizza shop for crying out loud. Buy a slice at the counter and bring your food over to a dirty formica table (something only a real native NYer would understand).

Good Pizza, lousy atmosphere
The pizza is very good, but often served so hot that the cheese will slide off into your lap if you are not careful. The atmosphere is not great- The place is crowded and hot. Stick with delivery or take out.

One of the best pizzas in NYC
Mariellas pizza is the best on the east side...the sauce is sweet like it should be, and the dough is not burnt its just right!

This is the most amazing pizza. If you order it with extra sauce it is even better.
