    A Pleasant Surprise

Dinner ar Maria Pia was an pleasant surprise. Food including appetizers, salad and entree's of striped bass and veal were delicious. Wine list more than adequate. Our waiter was a joy. A very freindly and enjoyable experience!

    Very good first visit

Had recommended this place to others, this was my first visit. The atmosphere is very nice with a friendly staff, but felt that the seating was just a little tight. We shared 2 dishes, one being the salmon (this was just ok) but the veggies it came with were delicious, as was the striped bass dish with broccoli rabe....excellent. The bread is very good, all in all, good value, very accomodating staff, and I will definitely be back & will recommend to others.

    Delicious and an Amazing Value!

Been here 5-6 times for lunch and dinner. Always terrific food prepared exquisitely with tastes that are always on. Gets busy pre-theater like all the other places in the area. Love the food, and great lunch and dinner prix-fixe menus and prices. Will be back often!

    Compliments to the staff

From the Caesar salad, the homemade tortellinis, the seafood risotto, to the lemon sorbet and chocolate torte it was a wonderful dinner. The house Pinot Grigio rounded out the meal and the cups of coffee were large and welcoming. We found Maria Pia on menupages.com and will return to BOTH for other in city occasions. I gave myself a mild neck injury craning to see what everyone else was having...

    Just right

Just back from NY with the family on a long weekend trip. We picked four restaurants to eat at, here, the Bull & Bear at our Hotel, Smith and Wollensky and the City Crab. This place came top. The atmosphere was relaxing, the service was attentive and friendly without being overpowering and the food was top notch and came with just enough delay between the courses. On top of all that, guess which restaurant the cheapest? I'll be back.

    A Real Find!

We had lunch in the outdoor garden on 10/18/05. What a great experience. The setting was very pleasent on a nice fall afternoon. We had the lunch special which was an excellent value. I had the papperdelle bolognese and my wife had the chicken piccatta. Both were excellent. Our meal included salad and either gelato or sorbet for dessert. We cant wait to go back and sample more of their menu.
