    fantasic evening

My wife and i went to see Wicked and found this place on line. I had the Tagliata steak in Borolo sauce and she the Cavatelli Bolognese Service was outstanding and the steak was a shell steak char broiled and cut thick and done perfect to medium rare. Bolognese was perfect, We cannot wait to re-visit

So good, I don't want you to know about it!

This is a little gem that is a bit outside the theater district. The food was so good that I'm still thinking about it today. We had fried calamari and mussles as an appetizer, both great! I ordered the Veal Saltimboco which was phenominal and my friend had Tortellin which was awesome. We had a fourth friend come really late and she was able to have a whole meal before we went off to our show. Great friendly non-pretentious service. The prices are also very affordable for the city! Like I said I almost don't want you to know about it that's how good it is. Oh well, enjoy!

    What a nice suprise!

Went with my Mom and Partner on 8-11-12. Place does not look like much from the outside but once you step in I could not believe how sparkling clean the place was. We ordered off the Pre-Fixe Lunch menu. My Cesear Salad, Chicken and dessert were delicious. I would definitely recommend.

    Quaint Italian Place

I decided to try this place because of previous reviews. My friend and I went after a broadway matinee. It was not crowded at all. The prices were reasonable. The prix fix dinner was decent but with some entrees you had to add a few dollars more. I loved the atmosphere simple but elegant. We sat outside in the garden. I was in the mood for linguine with clam in white wine sauce. However the clams they gave you was so small. Minature clams. The flavor was good. But I was disappointed with such small clams. Not worth 17.95. I've had this dish before in other italian restaurants. My friend had the salmon which was very good. We shared the hazelnut gelato ice cream which was good! I only gave a 4.5 for food becuse of my dish! Would go back again!

    Excellent!

I found this resturant on MenuPages and decided to try it out. The menu had a variety of meals to choose from, which is always a plus. The food and service was amazing! Wine was delicious and the ambiance was very cozy. The staff was extremely friendly. I will definitley come back to have either lunch or dinner!

    Surprising find

Stumbled upon this amazing place after a long day of roaming manhattan. Extremely cozy atmosphere and very friendly wait staff . We start with a fresh arugula lump crab salad that was amazing. Dinner was a homemade cavatelli in a bolognaise sauce which was delicious. The bolognaise had great favor tasted like a long lost grandma from the motherland was in the kitchen! Chicken parm was excellent and again the sauce was just perfect! Completed the meal with their panna cotta. It was outstanding! I only have 2 nights in NYC and I think both will be spent at Maria pia!
