Great Food, Lunchtime Crush
The food in this cafeteria-style hole-in-the-wall is terrific and the servings generous. But it is a shame that it caters only to a lunch crowd and closes by 2:30 (Monday-Satuday). At peak lunch time, it is very crowded and is oriented to takeout. There are a few tables, but you gotta keep moving because those waiting keep giving you dirty looks if you get too comfortable. If you are looking for a quiet place where you can casually sit down with friends to shoot the breeze, this ain't the place for you. If you're dying for some great Cuban food, with big portions, you can't beat it. For the uninitiated, you can get confused if you don't know that there are two lines. The first when you enter is for sandwiches only. Further in is the line for the full meals. For the location ("Brazil Street"), this place is unique and the food is unmatched.

Best Kept Secret in NYC
I've had everything from Cuban sandwiches to squid (pulpo) salad and it's all been incredible. The skirt steak is made to order and always sizzing hot when it reaches your table. I don't want to take anything away from the service which is fast especially for lunch rush hour. They are friendly and very welcoming. You can't beat the price in NYC!

Affordable Excellent Cuban Food
Go Go Go if you work in midtown. Quick pick up lunch or sit down in the back away from the counters...Excellent food, ready to be served, cuban style & extremely affordable, you get lots for under 8 bucks, Cuban sandwich is about 4 bucks. I am cuban. Highly Recommended. Even my cuban co-worker raves about the joint.

The best Cuban Food on the block!
It's one of the most difficult things finding a good restaurant in Midtown that is also affordable. Margon is a really great spot for some really great food. Not to mention, the amount of food you get is unbelievable. Lunch serves for both lunch and dinner. It is the most difficult thing to make a choice about lunch at the Margon, simply because everything is so good! The food, the people and the service have my highest recommendation!

Couldn't want more
I am so happy I found this cozy nook- I am Jamaican and find the Cuban taste very familiar. One thing about them that differ from Jamaican they give you a lot of food for $7. I had plantains and cassave and chicken and it was served in two take out containers. (the servings do for two days lunch better than McDonalds etc) Glad I found this spot just across from the job.

Go!
Margon is a casual place that is always worth going to. They make some of the best cuban sandwiches I have ever had. Friendly staff and very reasonable prices. Everything is good. Also try the chicken dishes which verge on amazing. Go after 2pm or later or you'll wind up waiting in line.

I once came here for lunch and stayed for dinner. It's that good.
