I hadn't been to this place in 10 years. Went back and it is the same it was 10 years ago. Good for FAST FOOD Dominican food. Yes Dominican. It's adverstised as Cuban but it's actually Dominican. The cook, the staff, the food, the music EVERYTHING is Dominican at this place. Overall I give it a 4.0 average.

I've eating other cuban sandwiches in many other places. By far, they have the best Cuban sandwich I have tasted in New York. Their other food tastes good too. I've eaten a steak there but it was a thin serving. The flan was great but again the serving was small. Happy with the taste, almost satisfied with the amount. Will always order Cuban sandwiches from here.

I have been eating at Margon for 3 years and NEVER found anything wrong the food. Yes its extremely busy there and the atmosphere is not a park avenue one BUTTT for under 10.00 in NYC and for the workers to be clean, and food amazing, Margon is surely too good to be true. MM

I've dined at Margon restaurant for over 20 years and recommend this Latino luncheonette to all in midtown. The daily specials include ox tail stew, Pernil (slow roasted pork), and squid salad among other great items. The Cuban sandwich is the best in the city! You will not find a more authentic Latin Caribbean restaurant. The staff is friendly and hard working. I would recommend walking in for your first visit.

About a week or so ago I convinced my co-workers to order lunch from here. The total was about $60. Sorry to say that 1st- we received only half the order including some very dry and unsweet "maduros". The beef stew I ordered looked like left overs, the red beans were dry, asked for cheese on a steak sandwhich and got a plain sandwich with nada on it! To make matters more irritating, they took another hour to redeliver the missing portion of our order. When we received it- both sandwhiches were burned until as black as can be on the bottom. Also, I asked for 4 beef and 4 chicken pasteles and got all beef! Called them to voice my disappointment and they just left me on hold..all three times that I called! One day later I checked my debit card purchases online only to find that they over charged me by $10 dollars.

Cuban sandwich is great, but nothing compares to their roast pork special offered every wednesday. A healthy helping of pork with rice, beans and plantains is the perfect hump day feast. Work in the area and must give the pork credit for my perfect wednesday attendance. Service with a smile and a great meal all for under 10 bucks, beat that in midtown.
