wow!
This is the best breakfast around. Go for the egg sandwiches, so cheap and so delicious. They're made on big homemade rolls and there are so many different things you can put on them! The muffins are great too.

What a great place!
Its always a treat whenever I find the time to get out to Brooklyn and visit Margaret's. This is really a community place, the service is nice and the shop is always crowded. Out of so many different (and often changing) brownie choices i'm not sure how to choose a favorite, but with such good prices, why choose one. While choosing between 10 or so fudgy, fruity, creamy choices I'd also suggest trying one of Margaret's amazing home made rolls. I highly suggest this place!

Simply the Best!
Margaret bakes everything. She doesn't skimp on her product. The croissants are the best you can find anywhere, the prices are reasonable and the ambiance is good neighborhood friendly. You always feel welcomed here.

i'm totally uncool, and thank god for this place
Rich, simple, high quality baked goods here... and very fresh coffee. The prices are GREAT! There is not much thought wasted (and I MEAN wasted) on decor or manufactured ambiance because this is just a place where you get a great product with friendly neighborhood service at an awesome price, displayed in a homespun way. The owners' lovely personalities make the atmosphere plenty inviting without pretensions towards trying to only draw a hip crowd. They want the hip, unhip, parents with toddlers, anycomers, coffee sipping-brownie eating-sammich appreciating crowd... and they get it all! This morning there is country on the sound system, adults and kids alike inside, and straight forward bakery items filling up the cold cases. I found a wifi connection, ate my egg sandwich on the fresh baked house roll (I chose wheat this time... and that roll is as light and chewy and yeasty and delicious as always), sipped my bodega style coffee (wasn't in the mood for their espresso drinks), and enjoyed the peace and quiet that existed despite a bunch of children under 6 nearby. Decadent cakes, breads, brownies of all sorts, and other baked items. Simply great stuff at a great price! AWESOME sandwiches that I have only found cheaper in the much farther reaches of Brooklyn where I used to live.

Graet rugelach
They got a article on the wall (oldish) that says they have the best rugelach in New York City. Well if it's not you better believe it's pretty damn close. Buttery, flaky, great price, better than my Bubbies. worth a trip from anywhere in the city. all her baked goods are delicious, i really liked the chip brownies and cream cheese brownies.
