    Would Not Return

We were prepared for the $50+ price tag on Marcony's "specials" but unfortunately the food is not at all worth the cost. In addition, management seems sub par compared to other high end Italian restaurants. There are others, even in Murray Hill, that are better. We will definitely not return.

    Bring Your Gold Card

The atmosphere, service and food are really good but you will pay for it... You cannot eat dinner there for less than $125 per person and I just feel like it is overpriced especially the specials where they charge $30 for pasta and $45 for fish.... Also at the end of the meal they offered us cannoli's which they told us were imported from Italy that day and of course we thought they were on the house and ended up on the bill which we all thought was classless... It is a really good restaurant but be prepared for the sticker shock at the end of the meal...

    How the mighty have fallen

As a longtime resident of Murray Hill we were thrilled to have our first upscale Eastside type restaurant. We have eaten there many times usually with excellent results. This is an expensive restaurant and one should only expect the best service and the best food. The other evening we introduced some friends to this restaurant with disastrous results. It was Sunday evening at 5 AM with very few people there and therefore there is no excuse for not occurred. The specialty this evening was halibut with I think a olive crust. Two of us ordered this dish and requested specifically that it not be overcooked. After eating a small portion I told the waitress (a very amateurish waitress) that this was overcooked and to tell that the chef. She never returned with any comment. I left over a portion and my friend ate all of it. My wife requested a simple pasta of basil and tomato. It was disappointing. In attendance was a new manager when I complained to was very un accommodating. After refusing to pay $45 for this small piece of well done fish she finally took it off the tab. I told her to please inform Marco the proprietor that I would not return. Another warning – when they offer you a specialty make sure you ask how much they are. The price of $45 for a teeny piece of halibut even at best seems out of line. Probably if it was an extraordinary experience the price would not be an issue. In conclusion I will have to travel a short distance outside of our neighborhood to find an upscale Italian restaurant worth the price they charge. I recommend that you do the same.

    I'm Back in Italy

I had dinner here last night with a friend and the food is mind blowing... I am Italian and have never had a better dish of pasta in my life... The service is excellent and you are greeted at the door by the manager who makes you feel very welcome. The scallop appetizer is amazing and my pasta dish which was black and white pasta with seafood in a red sauce was not to be believed. It is calm inside the restuarant and an overall amazing experience. It is a bit expensive but believe me you get what you pay for in Marcony. They did not get a 26 food rating by accident.

    Nothing special

The food was basic mid-level Italian, and tasted like it had been cooked earlier in the day.

    What a Gem!

This place is amazing! My best friend and I went there for the first time last night and we were both very impressed. Avid food lovers, we're hard to please, but this place delivered. The food was EXCELLENT, and what really won me over was the extremely kind and generous staff. I felt like I was treated the true Italian way - like family. I will definitely be back...can't wait to try everything on the menu!
