Delicious meal! Will be back
Went to Marcony for the first time this weekend and we will definitely be back. We were there for my birthday and even though we didn't tell the waitstaff that it was an "event" dinner we were still treated as though it were. Very classy. Service is attentive without hovering. I had the veal special and it was indeed special. I can't wait to discover the rest of their menu. My only complaint is that the dining room seemed loud with all the conversations. If there's a way they could dampen the acoustic, that would be an improvement. Still, it was a terrific dining experience.

Hospitality is onlt surpassed by the delicious food
My friends and I tried this restaurant one Saturday evening before theater> A very unimpressive exteriorave gave way to a charming white washed stone walls, wood floors and touches of blue interior. The staff here is extremely attentive and informed > Our meal was supurb> All six of of were very pleased with our dishes. We loved the food so much so that we returned the following week

Best Italian from 23rd street to 42nd Street
My wife and I have been searching for a great Italian restaurant in Murray Hill / Kips Bay and we have finally found it! Most importantly, the food is GREAT! Everything is fresh, from the pasta, to the eggplant concoction they put on the table when you sit down. Not mention, they will make you anything you want that is not on the menu. We have been waiting for a restaurant like this for years and it is finally here. Only advice I would give them is to lower their delivery prices and they will pick up a ton of business. Simply put, the best italian from 23rd to 42 street between park and 1st avenue.

Best meal in NYC so far
We have been in NYC for 8 days and this by far was our best meal yes the most expensive, but money is not an issue when the quality of food and service is as high as it is at Marcony's. on 2nd thought, i have paid more for poorer food and service, if you are after a true fine dining experience with some of the best and most professional wait staff, and the chef personally comes out and speaks with you and asks you how your meal is you MUST go to marcony's..

Tasty, very comfortable, beautiful, gem in the neighborhood
I've lived in the neighborhood for a long time now, and I know we are lacking a good semi-upscale italian restaurant around here. Firstly, the restaurant is beautiful. The decoration is both minimal and catchy. If you are making a reservation, ask for one of the 4 tables in the back top floor. You will overlook the entire restaurant, and it is incredibly private as it feels like you're on an indoor balcony. The service is great and the manager is incredibly friendly and helpful, always around. The food is delicious, but don't expect to remember the long list of specials your waiter for tell you. I would say go for pasta + main course... the appetizers don't seem to be worth the money. The pasta dishes are made fresh every day, and the main courses, especially the fish, are outstanding (and big portions). I've only seen 4 of them, but all really beautiful. For anyone looking for a cheap meal, this isn't it, but there is value to be found in the food, atmosphere, and service. The same thing that would be overpriced at any expensive Italian restaurant in NY, will also be overpriced here. Don't make this your everyday place, even for lunch its a little steep. I know I will be making Marcony my new local restaurant to bring out of town visitors, guests, and other parties bigger than 2 for special occasions. Also, I've noticed most restaurants seem to rush you out in the neighborhood no matter what hour this is; it was a welcome surprise to not see this happen at Marcony. One word of advice, stay away from the Sesami Seared Tuna appetizer, photos on website look great, but it was the one dish out of the 8 I tasted that was bland.

Pleasant but not worth the $'s
Really nice looking high end Italian, quitet good ambience. Excellent cocktails! Over priced appetizers. $18 for 3 fried zucchini blossoms? Pasta was good but not quite a big enough portion, maybe 6 tortelloni on the plate. Really not OK for the price. $96 for 2 people with 2 drinks. Go further south for better Italian for the same price. Would love to say I found a great new place, but I can't.
