Marche Madison

Stayed in Manhattan for 1 week, stumbled in because of the rain & ended up buying all of my meals from the store. The selection in healthy choices was just right. The food was consistently delicious! The staff was extremely helpful to all of us customers even though it got busy fast. I wish there were a Marche in my hometown. I highly recommend this business for anyone that is health minded & doesn't mind paying a lil extra for quality meals. Btw, Marche even made the ordering & delivery easy for this first time visitor in New York. Will definitely order from this business on my next visit.

I go to Marche at least 5 times a week. The fruits and the vegetables are always fresh - much better quality than the average fruit stand. The take out food is always delicious with a good variety.

Marche Madison has the rudest staff on the upper east side. What could have been another great immigrant success story is a torrid tale of an out of control shop that disses their very clients and where the owner Lil Kim rarely appears. If you like being harassed or assaulted, try stopping by. Expect to be screamed at in front of your neighbors. We had the experience of having this mentally unstable man tell us to "leave the store" because he "saw you taking bites out of the fruit". The food is mediocre and extremely overpriced. The only value is the pre-made sandwiches which you could pick up at any deli. These are always cold and tasteless. The take out food is inferior to Grace's and Citarella. And Il V (74th and Madison) has better coffee by a mile. And they shoot Gossip Girl there regularly. We prefer Three Guys.
