Love this restaurant
The atmosphere is fabulous. The vibe is French country, with a modern twist. The friendly approach is the country part. I have been there at least 10 times and bring all my International visitors. It feels like an extension of my own kitchen and living room. Hooray for them. They are V. Accommodating. Go!

Real french food, uncommonly friendly atmosphere
This is true french food, coming from someone who has lived in France. The chefs are talented, the staff is pleasant, and the food is great. to the other reviewer who gave them 1 star-- who orders a duck burger at a french restaurant? of course you didn't like it! burgers are just for people who don't know what to get! next time, get duck prepared in a more traditional method. geez, ANY other method. Again, I love this place and am going to start making it my go-to neighborhood spot.

Will never go back
My husband and I are french and we were very excited to try this place. We started the meal with a tarte flambee ( french "pizza") and it was so disappointing! The dish was overcooked and dry. We ordered a duck burger afterward and both the meat and the bun were overcooked to the point that we sent it back. I have never sent food back in my life, that was the first time. Service was great and the place is really nice but the food is below average and overpriced. The bakery (part of the restaurant) is actually really good but stay on that side of the place!

Excellent new place- must try!
I don't generally like French food; However, i had the most outstanding meal at Marche Du Sud last week! The atmosphere is authentic and welcoming and the service is nothing less than excellent. The garden is beautiful and i thought the bakery to be a very tasteful touch. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great meal at a great price.

New Favorite...
I'm a Francophile through and through, so I"m extremely thrilled that Marche du Sud opened up. Not only does the food uphold French cuisine standards, the waitstaff and management can be heard speaking French. It's perfect for a business lunch. My last visit I noticed the garden in the back and am excited for the spring. Also great to pick up a pain au chocolat!

Perfect !
Cassoulet for delivery! ? I couldn't believe it, and I couldn't believe how wonderful it was. My husband and I are both cooks, and we know the detail and effort that goes into cassoulet. The one we ate Tuesday was faultless. Absolutely delicious. And the charming man who took my phone order was faultless too. What a wonderful experience. Thank you.
