Without question, this is one of the best Szechuan restaurants around. It is not just "hot", I have had "hotter", but it is how the spices are blended that will make your taste buds happy. My guests were from China and ordered the sliced beef tendon with roasted chili vinaigrette, braised napa cabbage with tendon scallops and ham, the sliced beef with soft bean curd, and the country style fresh water fish filet with napa cabbage and roasted chili. It tastes even better than it sounds. They were so impressed that they ordered some additional dishes "to go."..can"t wait to go back to try some more dishes.

Dishes are skillfully prepared, well seasoned, and have a variety of fresh vegetables. Wouldn't really call it authentic Chinese, but then, I'm not a very adventurous orderer. Will say this: best dumplings in NYC. Delivery is reliable -- within 1/2 hour. They even catered to the lesser items on my order: extra sauce and chopsticks, and even threw in a dessert. Thanks, Mapo. Will definitely order from you again.

If you like Chinese food, especially spicy food, this is the place you cannot miss. I went there last week with several friends and we were all very impressed with the flavor of the food. Szechuan Pork Dumpling is particularly tasty. We will definitely go back.

I've had a lot of Chinese food in New York, and this has got to be one of the best tasting authentic Chinese food in the city. Honestly, I was going to expect the same Chinese food as any other Chinese restaurants around the city, the same greasy General Tso's chicken. WRONG. The selection of authentic Szechuan food was outstanding. One of the dishes that amazed me the most was mapo tofu. The dish was indeed spicey, but not overpowering. Everything that my friend and I ordered turned out delicious. Also, the pricing isn't going to put a dent in your wallet. That being said, this restaurant wasn't perfect. There were spots on the wall that lacked decorations which made it look very average. That might be because it's a new restaurant, but nonetheless, it wasn't very aesthetically pleasing. All in all, this was a great eating experience. Guarenteed to return for more AUTHENTIC Chinese cuisine.
