Major Thanksgiving Disappointment
I've had Thanksgiving turkey dinners at other coffee shops in the area. You always end up taking heaps of food home. Not here. I'm so angry after my meal here, I am sitting down to write this review. In the first place, I paid $27 for the fixed price special T-Giving menu. It read Soup, salad, entree, vegetable choice, ham or roast turkey, tea or coffee, dessert and a glass of wine. The turkey was an open faced sandwich thin sliced white meat over generic stuffing ...EXACTLY the same entree I had ordered at dinner the previous week! I was not given any soup or tea. No rolls No butter for my vegetables. $27! I am so disappointed. It's worse because I live near here, come often and was too shy and embarrassed to make a fuss. But Ill never make the mistake of coming here again.

Amazing Staff and Incredible Breakfast!
This is by far the best diner/restaurant for breakfast and lunch in the area. I haven't tried the dinner menu yet but I eat here every single morning before work and wouldn't dream of going somewhere else. They have such delicious omelets, french toast, perfectly cooked eggs and the hash browns/home fries are the most delicious ive ever had in my life. Some places can really go wrong with home fries but these have such great flavor and are served as potato slices cooked to perfection on the griddle. They also have an AWESOME grilled chicken caesar salad. Sounds boring but it is SO GOOD. Normally im not one to go for salads but this is a definite GO-TO. Try it! you will be so happy you did. And perhaps most importantly to me, the staff is absolutely amazing. they are the most kind people and I absolutely love them. They are ALWAYS right there to take your order and make sure you have EVERYTHING you need so you are 100% happy. Ive eaten there over 150 times. Can be a bit pricey sometimes. but they have CHEAP BREAKFAST SPECIALS during the week! For instance, coffee, orange juice, water, toast, hash browns, 2 eggs is $3.40

The best!
My girlfriend lives right around the corner, and we eat here all the time! We either order delivery or eat brunch, and it's just great. The staff is kind and friendly, the food is good, and there's never a bad move on the menu.

No need to worry about $ discrepancies
The breakfast menu is essentially gone but for a general list sans prices, so if those price discrepancies on deliveries were an issue for you, that is resolved. (chuckle) I think they have the best homefries in the neighborhood and their soups and roast vermont turkey are pretty good. Much like many a diner that offers so many food choices, there is a great variation of food quality from awful to awesome. However, their prices are unjustifiably high across the board.

Don't bother
This place, for an neighborhood diner, is vastly overrated. Menu is unimaginative. A trip should be made to some of the restaurants in the Village, lower East Side where lovely dishes and sandwiches have been created. Hamburgers, frozen! I wonder if some of the fish dishes are also frozen. Cup of coffe, fine. The rest? Forget it.
