great place just don’t go on a frid, sat, or sun night because the service will be nothing like on a regular night. You will be asked to “leave if you don’t spend enough and stay more than two hours”, as i was explained by the manager. it is sad that manolo’s has joined the washington heights madness of “we’ll treat you according to the bottles you order or amount you spend” here are my reasons for the poor review: *i was asked to leave twice by the waiter because it was “a busy night”. *the manager then explained that he couldn’t “have me in a table for more than two hours if all i spent was $ 65”. *i spent 2:30 hours at the place, was catching up with an old friend, sorry! *we were both driving so we only had one drink, sorry! *the drinks were on sale so no wonder the bill was only $65, sorry! * we ordered, two drinks, two appetizers a paella and desert. Trying to watch my weight, sorry! *the fact that no one apologized just made it very clear that they wanted us out its astonishing to me. Imagine what my friend, who is a woman of color, thought. I made her travel far to this place for this treatment. We were the only ones treated this way. People must have thought that we were doing something wrong, they never made a discrete move. *never!! Have i been asked to leave a place. I usually travel downtown because i like good food and service when i spend my money and many places in the heights are lacking this. I was excited to see manolo’s was not one of them. I had my graduation dinner there and have referred many people because of the good food and service but like the manager explained this is only on a slow night not on a frid. Sat. Or sun. He literally said that to me without apology. Way to make business!

I found it on Menupages and am grateful! Lovely tapas, fantastic service, good cocktails, better wines. This is my go to place after work, but the weekends are too crowded and noisy. That's me, if you like a scene, this is a good one. Great spot.

1st time last night and found Manolo to be a gem. Manolo offers true Spanish tapas. What a treat in a neighborhood that doesn't offer much diversity. Wonderful music. Service was excellent! Reasonably priced. Fresh food! Will return soon. Many choices on the menu to try including specials!

I love this place, the atmosphere is beautiful and cozy! They have a large selection of wines, and great authentic Spanish tapas to enjoy. My favorite spot is at the corner seat of the bar or the tables near the windows. Its a great place to o with family or with a couple of friends. Manolo is a place that I will recommend to anyone. They also have great signature cocktails and seasonal draft beer! If you like HAPPY HOUR! this is the place to go... The deals are great!... It's also a nice change to have something different to go in Washington Heights!

My second visit, two days in a row. The first was good; the second, outstanding. The first time: I had seafood soup and a cod entree. I loved the soup but the fish was just alright. My friend had the seared tuna salad, which he enjoyed. Tonight I returned solo, primarily for the special dessert, but had the seafood soup again and a seafood crepe. It was very difficulty to narrow my selections from the lengthy tapas menu. Both were lovely. For dessert, I had a tres leche cake, which my waiter flambed with Grand Marnier. It was served with a mini scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. Decadent! On both occasions, the staff were friendly and attentive. Other custumers seemed laidback as if they were all regulars (could it be?) and the vibe was just very comfortable. Twice I had a white wine from Albarino. Not the best I've had from that region, but it was a refreshing change to have several fine options on the wine list. I will be back!

Thank god for Manolo. Finally, finally, there is a restaurant in the neighborhood with a wine list worth looking at and drinking from. I have been to Manolo 6 or 7 times, with friends, on dates, for a party, and have even brought my parents here for dinner. The service and food is consistent, and consistently excellent. You can't go wrong with anything on the tapas menu, although the seafood tapas are my personal favorites. The best part of Manolo is that it is not only a nice place to sit at a table and have dinner, but it also has a great bar with a friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable bartender. All told, Manolo is excellent across the board, and a real rarity in the neighborhood.

I've been to Manolo several times since it's opening and I have found it to be a charming addition to the neighborhood. I've been to the bar area for small bites with my husband and also with a party of six. Each time we've received great service. They have an impressive wine & beer selection. The food is very authentic. I just with the prices were a little more Spanish! :) In all seriousness, it's a little too expensive for us to go as frequently as we'd like. Also, I think it's ridiculous that they are cash only. It's a large restaurant with a bar area and downstairs seating - they are big enough that they should take credit cards. At least we spend less money when we pay cash!
