Music, Wine and People
Great food with nice selection of music. We got there around 8 and ended up staying there till the end which was around 2am. Cozy atmosphere with friendly servers and regulars. Looking forward to go back there again. Thank you.

Very tasty especially for the money
Most Italian places in the neighborhood are over priced Not so at Mangiami. Friendly Severs and great food. Perfect for Delivery in either direction

Great food, great service
Mangiami has a great atmosphere for eating alone, or with a friend. Awesome menu and great prices; you won't be disappointed.

Not recommended
Ordered a pasta dish that looked good but was cold. When I returned it, the waitrress said it was because of a teaspoon of cheese on the top that made it cold. When it came back, it was a stirred up mess...looked like they put it in a microwave & nuked it. Place is noisy and unfriendly. Will not go back.

Loud and noisy!!!!
This is a residential area! Why is the music blaring like it's a club and all the customers milling about outside screaming and carrying on even after 1am on a weeknight?? The restaurant needs to take responsibility and make sure the customers are not bothering the neighbors. Other than that, the food is good and well priced. But I feel sorry for the people living on that street.

stay away
I was hopeful about this place. There isn't much else to choose from in this no-man's land pocket of the neighborhood, and the atmosphere is really nice. However the food is another story. We started with asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and fontina which wasn't traditional prosciutto... turned out to be salty oscar mayer ham and a gooey mess of cheese. My friend had the carbonara which was way too heavy on the cream. I had the linguini and shrimp -- which had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. All in all, the food had no finesse. There are so many better places around, I'm not sure why anyone would go here (besides it being one of the few places on that stretch of Stanton). Being somewhat empty on a sat night at 8 should have been a sign.

very good food, but very noisy
love the food here...fresh and simple and spanking bright flavors. But why are they playing the music at bar volume? The place is already noisy from people chatting in close quarters, which I can deal with but add to it high decibal music...huh? I will give them a call, maybe mention this to the manager, because I really want to go back, but will have to think twice if it's that difficult to have a conversation over the great food.
