    Tried and True!

I've orded from Mangia for many years. I only order lunch and delivery. They have very fresh and unique sandwiches. They take a little longer on delivery but I'm just outside of their limit but they still deliver to me. They are definitely worth adding to your regular list of food stops - they are consistently good, friendly, and yummy. recommended.

    Excellent food, service and value!

What a true gem!! This is the first restaurant ever that I have rated with all 5.0! The dinner paired with the wine selection is superb, and what friendly service!! Everything on the menu, from the starters (the fried calamari with marinara sauce is to die for!) to the entrees is excellent excellent. I asked the cook to give me a large cup of the marinara sauce to eat at home! There is not one item on the menu that I don't like! And the waitstaff is sooo nice! Even the after dinner chocolates are top notch. As long as I have lived in Manhattan, I have never eaten a 4 course meal with a bottle of wine for less than $80, but that is exactly what I spent at Mangia!

    Not that great

The food is pretty limited and the way they position everything is subpar because you have everyone pushing at other to get through while the salad is right in the middle. The desserts are not worth it either. The desserts are overpriced and usually taste old and stale.

    Great food, Amazing service!

I'm not sure why some of the other reviews here are so negative (perhaps because most people go during lunch when it is very busy). I went to Mangia for dinner and I thought the food was excellent and our waiter could not have been nicer or more eager to serve us well. He made several recommendations and was overall very friendly and pleasant. When we thanked him with a generous tip, he actually gave us a completely free dessert! I will definitely come back here!

    Not that great, actually

I've only ordered from Mangia so I can't comment on table service and atmosphere so I gave them middling stars, but my food experiences weren't so great. Their food was fair at best. The veal milanese was quite tough and way too breaded. The steamed veggies were limp and tasteless.

In response to the review below

I would like to let you all out there know that Mangia is the best restaurant around. I have never had a problem there, and then i see someone complaining that they didn't get their way. First of all, your attitude caused you not getting your food, for all those girls there are the nicest i've seen in any restaurant in the city. Mangia has the best selections, perfect food, and staff members delightfully professional.

    Disappointed!

I was on my way to the office this morning around 8:30 AM and wanted to have something different for breakfast than my usual Starbucks and bagel so I walked into Mangia on 23rd Street. I did not know where to order so I walked to back where there were several young ladies preparing food. I asked them what type of bread they had for the breakfast sandwiches. She could not understand me and was rude. So I just said give me the white bread with eggs and bacon. She gave me a plain slice of bread and put it into a plastic bag. I said no, I want something on it. She rudely said that there station was closed and to go to the side to order breakfast. This embarrassed me and I just walked out and said I would go somewhere else. The high profile company I work for has a corporate account does a lot of business with Mangia and after this embarrassing incident, I will encourage them to order food for our luncheons and meetings elsewhere.
