Not Worth It
I went to this place for Dim Sum and found it mediocre at best. The dim sum was very oily, and the cart selection was very limited on a weekday at NOON (we had to ask the waiter for cheung fun and congee). Service was not terrific, but not horrible. I've had much better dim sum in Chinatown at other places. (I am Chinese, if that helps.)

Nice service, but not so good food...
My family and I always came here when I was younger (about 5 yrs ago), the food was great than. But as I get older, the food is...not good. The service there is great, espeically since I know the workers since my family went there all the time when I was younger..I won't recommend the food..

Best value for authentic dim sum
Where else can you go for dim sum and have it come out to $7 per person and be absolutely stuffed? This place is small (imagine 10% of Jin Fong) so the carts come by very frequently so you're not waiting at all. You have to share tables but that's true at most places. I love their sticky rice and congee.

Very Pleasing
My Friend and I ended up at this establishment after trying to find Dim Sum at a eatery down the street that had turned out to no longer serve Dim Sum! We were seated instantly, and the food started coming on cart service within 3 minutes, and what food it is! The Ha Goh was fantastic, char sui bao wonderfully sweet and succulent and the sesame ball for dessert did not dissapoint. Obviously fresh and well prepared food and excellant service. The atmosphere is friendly and the service very good as well. We had no qualms about giving a absolute thumbs up rating to the tourists who asked our opinion as we left the establishment. I will return!

Very satisfying, especially for lunch
The dim sum is superb here, but also order one of their noodle dishes off the menu. I go every day at lunch when I have to serve jury duty. I still go pretty often on Saturdays for a treat. It's often crowded, so be prepared to share tables with others, which is usually OK. The dinner selections are very nice as well, and fairly large. My only gripe is that they bring you a pot of tea when you arrive, then they charge you forty cents a head for it.

Great Dim Sum
I have been going to this place for about 12 years now, every since I was a little kid and I still love it. It really is your best dim sum, the people who work their are nice and helpful and it is yummy, quick food. My favorites are the salt covered shrimp, fried bean curd and the porkchops as well as the seafood and scallop dumplings. It is a treat!

Good Dim Sum
My college-age daughter and I have been here many, many times. We like the food very much. The dim sum come by in carts and you select the little plates. Often there is a language struggle between the ladies who push around the carts and the customers. Often I just take a plunge with something new, not really knowing what is inside. I love their variety with shrimp, as well as other items. I had to laugh at the rating of "atmosphere." Many places in Chinatown are on the plain and crowded side and that is just fine with me -- Mandarin Court falls into that category. The waiters are good and function at top speed. In addition to dim sum, there are regular Chinese dishes that are very good. The Chinese in Chinatown are clearly very fond of this restaurant. Often I see huge families of Chinese. This restaurant is near the court house in Manhattan, so when I serve on jury duty I often come here. The price of the meal is controllable, as you know how much each little dish costs and you can simply multiply in your head as you go along. This eliminates nasty surprises at the end of the meal. This restaurant is a real asset to Chinatown.
