favorite neighborhood spot
i live right around the corner and regardless of the plethora of bars and irish pubs so close to my apt, i always end up here. the food is awesome and they show all the soccer games. they also have a great lunch special- $7 for any sandwich on the menu or $10 for a andwich and a happy hour beer. trivia on sunday nights gives the winner a $25 bar tab- pretty sweet!

favorite Hole in the Wall
If you ever want to get away from the B&T crowds in midtown east, head over here for some comfort food and a cold drink. Try teh mushroom burgers or the wings, they're the best in the area! Great drink specials too: $3 drafts and pitchers for $12 bucks! best value in the area.

Delicious!
I stumbled across this cozy pub for some drinks. They had a wide variey of beers on tap for a small place and their food was surprisingly(esp for pub standards) delicious. I had the salad (simple yet good), hawg wings where the pork is so tender and falls right off the bone, and hot wings which were nice and spicy. I would definitely come here again!!

Sharing is Caring!
I found the Manchester while trying to escape the drudgeries of the dime-a-dozen bar and grills in Turtle Bay. Now this is a place that has an excellent beer variety (16 different beers on tap I believe) and phenomenal food. All the sandwiches are served in pairs on brioche rolls. I've never seen the variety of wings flavor in midtown and they have these incredible hawg wings (it's almost like a bbq pork spare rib on a stick). I'd highly suggest going and I can't wait to go back to try their entrees! Delicious!

Gold Star
I came in for the Giants game and the bartender/servers were extremely nice and went out of their way to help us. The staff here is awesome, Manchester's felt like a 2nd home. I was completely surprised by the food, it went above any pub food I've had. Can't wait to go again.

Great Food!
I highly recomend the Chester for both eat in and delivery. My personl favorites include: the club, chicken parm, wings, and chicken fajita hero, but everything I have had has been great. This restaraunt has turned into the main staple of my diet. If you live in the area and haven't been to the Chester, you are missing out. Plus: the food is amazing and they send a lot of ketchup with a delivery Minus: the only problem is that they only have one waitress for the entire place so service can be a little slow

Disappointment...
We've been to this bar multiple times and have always had a good time - the food is great. Unfortunately, last night was a deal breaker for us. We went to go watch the yankees playoff game and after enduring the loud, drunk bartender's antics through the first half of our meal, we were horrified when she turned off the (one HD) tv in the bar showing the game to turn on napoleon dynamite on comedy central. After asking the bartender to turn the game back on -- she threw a huge attitude. She finally turned the game back on for us but left comedy central/napolean dynamite on loudly in the background. pretty much the entire bar left as did we. we will be taking our business elswhere from now on. advice to the owner -- you need a better staff - your bartender on sunday evening lost you a lot of business. good luck.
