I and my neighbors like this place so much but even though we are a mere 14 blocks up they don't deliver to us. ARG! They are missing out on a ton o business up here. But when we are near, we of course go in. The food is simple and delicious.

I've been to many so called "healthy" restaurants in NYC, having many dietary restrictions due to illness, and this one by far tops my list. They use NO sugar, only juices and honeys to sweeten even their desserts, and NO dairy. They even have gluten free desserts! They use many types of grains and beans, and their vegetables are fresh and well cooked. The atmosphere is simple - clean and efficient - and the staff is gracious in answering many questions without a hint of impatience or aggravation. If you want clean, simple food that is good for your body, come here. If you want to feel recharged, comfortably full and satisfied, come here. I look forward myself to returning many times.

This simple place served us great food. It has fish as well as all the bean/veggie based dishes for strict vegetarians. I went for lunch on a Saturday and the staff was efficient. Prices are reasonable for clean sit down service. And the portions were huge.

The food is great for what it is - fresh and healthy. However the price increases are a bit out of control. I used to order all the time, but with the minimum delivery amount ($20 before tax and delivery) AND a delivery surcharge, I had to stop.

I will cry when I leave my apartment because I will no longer have this restaurant down the street from me. This is one of my favorite places to get affordable, creative, well-thought-out food that manages to be simple and healthy and fresh at the same time. I've never had anything bad here, though I do wake up craving the stuffed shitake mushroom appetizer sometimes. Try anything - you will not be disappointed (though the desserts might be TOO healthy for some.) The atmosphere is very chill here, in the summer they open the front, the waitstaff is friendly and helpful, and you can get an affordable glass of organic wine.

I first discovered Mana when I was a student at Columbia nearby. Because of its remote location on Amsterdam, it's easy to miss and has not been reviewed by most vegetarian restaurant reviewers. But they serve some of the freshest high quality food I have had in NYC. My favorite dishes are the pumkin ravioli, simple palate, mexican burrito, and kanten parfait. It is a truly guiltless yet delicious meal every time.
