My wife loves organic food and thanks to her we've been to nearly every organic restaurants in the city. This time it was Mana. We got to sit next to cold glass doors, the wind was blowing from crack. The waiter refused to change our table, because other tables were for larger groups ( ? ) I ordered noodles with veggies and my wife got simple plate. After 10 minutes or so her dish was already on the table but not mine. We both waited for my dish, when it finally arrived her food was already cold. My wife complained for service, waiter smiled and blamed the kitchen for delay. My dish was a strange mix of noodles and veggies plus too much oil. All I could taste was oil, gross . Left the food almost untouched. Telma's dish was beans and rice with some greens, very simple and easy to make it at home. Nothing special. We were charged $$$ and left the place with no intention to go back Ever again

Read all the reviews and decided to check it out. Total waste of time and money. The fish dish came in half raw, when I specifically asked for very well done, tasted like it's been frozen for awhile. Payed 26 $ for that . Ordered bean desert , didn't taste much 8$ wasted . Very frustrated, not going back.

Friend invited me over there, nice place, what can I say. The food was OK, nothing special, service was slow. For some reason, we got our drinks after the appetizers. The restaurant seems to be Asian, menu had Japanese pizza and whole lot of temphei/tofu dishes. The chiness waitstaff seemed friendly, but not educated about the food, the waiter could`n tell me difference between tofu and temphei . Atmosphere was ok, more cosy than anything else. I might go back some other day, but there are many Asian restaurants out there, that are cheaper

I read another review here that said the service was slow. I want to stress that one of the main goals of this restaurant seems to be to offer up a peaceful dining experience in the midst of all the madness of a NYC. So, there is no frantic dashing around and a minimum of noise (so nice to be able to converse without yelling!) You can just relax and bliss out over delicious & wholesome vegetarian fare (plus fish) that is reasonably priced (considering the quality of the food and location). I can't recommend it enough!

I was there yesterday night, nice busy place . Food was good, not crazy but good enough for its price. I had gomae and my friend had temptation dish. Service was awfully slow ,the waiters were standing, talking to each other instead of paying any attention to us. I had to ask for water twice and got it half an hour later . Otherwise place was okay. I don`t know if I want to go back though, felt unwelcomed.

Just ate here for dinner yesterday for the first time, having just hearing about it. The atmosphere was nice and not overly crowded. Red cloth napkins were placed on the table with one fork showing. To start, my wife and I ordered the Curried Sweet Potato Dumplings, steamed, to share. There were 5 of them and it was tasty while it lasted. The entrees arrived shortly after. Gomaae plate for myself and Salmon Burger for her. Her burger was small size and came without the dill cucumber sauce which would have given it some taste(she didn't realize it was missing, so she didn't say anything). My dish looked like it was hurriedly put together without much thought to plating and didn't appear appealing. And it tasted that way. There wasn't much vegetables and hardly any Tempeh and just tasted ordinary and not something I would order again. It did come with a lot of brown rice. All in all we probably wouldn't come here again, it's okay but nothing special.

We got takeout from Mana last night - the wild salmon teriyaki and a salmon burger. No appetizers. No sides. The total, with tip already included, was $49. The food, while fresh, (and the delivery fast) was definitely overpriced for what it was. The burger came only with a small side salad; the teriyaki with vegetables and a mini container of brown rice. You can find organic food in the neighborhood that's just as good for half the price.
