A little gem...
I have been a diner here for many years. The food is always fresh and tasty-the portions enormous. What has prompted me to write now is a new special menu that was introduced a short time ago, along with a new tea service which is beautifully presented . All ingredients are organic here-and the wild salmon which is an entree and in the salmon burger is the best kept secret in the city for the price

Tea Time!
Try the new tea menu and.........the BEST biscotti in NYC. (Really, amazingly tasty morsels of melt-in-your-mouth goodness.) My husband and I consider ourselves tea mavens and the owner has got it together for a creative tea menu and tea service. If you don't want something sweet to accompany your tea, there are plenty of other options, but the other desserts are pretty great as well. We went for tea.....we stayed for dinner! Lot of love in this place and you can taste it. Got special dietary needs? They will take care of you.

Health food for the masochist
My vegan niece visited and we ordered from Mana because she's my Vegan niece. I scoured the menu looking for something that seemed reasonably priced and might taste good, so I ordered the Shrimp and Avacado Sushi. She ordered steamed vegetables and Miso soup. The delivery guy showed up promptly with the little bag and a rather large (considering) bill. The sushi was unappetizing. It looked like Sushi, but it tasted like styrofoam. There was no ginger, only wasabi, so with that addition it tasted like hot styrofoam. I could only choke down a few bites. My niece enjoyed her vegetables and her little tiny expensive bowl of miso soup. She explained that when you're a vegan you become used to food with no taste. I would only recommend this restaurant to people who believe that they must sacrifice pleasure and pay a lot of money to remain healthy.

Why can't you deliver to me ?!!
I and my neighbors like this place so much but even though we are a mere 14 blocks up they don't deliver to us. ARG! They are missing out on a ton o business up here. But when we are near, we of course go in. The food is simple and delicious.

For the health conscious, the best bet!
I've been to many so called "healthy" restaurants in NYC, having many dietary restrictions due to illness, and this one by far tops my list. They use NO sugar, only juices and honeys to sweeten even their desserts, and NO dairy. They even have gluten free desserts! They use many types of grains and beans, and their vegetables are fresh and well cooked. The atmosphere is simple - clean and efficient - and the staff is gracious in answering many questions without a hint of impatience or aggravation. If you want clean, simple food that is good for your body, come here. If you want to feel recharged, comfortably full and satisfied, come here. I look forward myself to returning many times.

Great vegetarian food
This simple place served us great food. It has fish as well as all the bean/veggie based dishes for strict vegetarians. I went for lunch on a Saturday and the staff was efficient. Prices are reasonable for clean sit down service. And the portions were huge.

Great, fresh overpriced food
The food is great for what it is - fresh and healthy. However the price increases are a bit out of control. I used to order all the time, but with the minimum delivery amount ($20 before tax and delivery) AND a delivery surcharge, I had to stop.
